L. Reed: The colored spectrum lights (red, green, blue) died in less than nine months. I will try contacting the manufacturer regarding a replacement.

UPDATE: The manufacturer has sent a free replacement to me. Let's see how long it lasts.

Andres San Miguel: Initial review. Very bright, definitely and upgrade from my previous light. Works perfectly on my 29 gallons planted fish tank. FYI- if you are using a smart switch to control your light know that every time the light comes on it will be on a different light setting. This is because turning on the light using the smart switch is like pressing the button to change the light color / setting.
For me is not a deal breaker, my plants will have all the light spectrum on different times.

Alex Waters: This light worked great for about a month, then all the color modes other than the regular white light stopped working. That was fine for me since I only used the white light anyway, but it was a little disappointing.
Fast forward 9 months later, the light stopped working all together. Now, LEDs should last years so I figured something happened to the cord or the switch got fried, so I took the cord and switch apart and tested the components with a multi meter, everything worked which meant the issue was in the light itself. When I tried to take apart the light itself (I did like this light while it worked, so I wasn't ready to give up on it yet), I discovered all of the screws holding the fixture itself together came pre-stripped, so there was no easy way to get it open to examine the diodes themselves.

As I mentioned above, LEDs should last years. The fact that this light only made it a few months indicates either a) low-grade materials, b) really poor workmanship, or c) both (most likely from what I saw).

I will not be buying this light again and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Ray SparkleMuffin: This light was easy to set up, easy to use, and easy to put on a schedule (using a smart plug and Alexa). I’ve had it on a planted 5 gallon with good success.

I especially loved that it had three colour modes! The outer two strips of LEDs are white, and the inner two are a colour mix. The settings have all four strips on (my default), just the inner (I used in evening), and just the outer (a plain white I never used).

Unfortunately just under 6 months into its life the middle two LED strips have suddenly quit. I assume it’s an internal circuitry/connection issue, as there’s no way the LEDs themselves hold have burnt out in that time. The outer two strips still work fine, but that means the three light settings are now plain white, off, and plain white. This is a bummer for me as it now means the two light settings I actually used are gone!

If I was absolutely certain this was a one-off manufacturing defect I might buy the light again, as until now it’s worked very well especially for the price.

Amazon Customer: Editing my review and changing from 1 star to 5. My light was replaced quickly with great customer service and has been working ever since. I’m actually buying another now for a second tank.

This light seemed great at first. Actually it worked TOO well. It was really bright. Then a couple days ago it just stopped working. Now it’s just a regular white light, not the full spectrum. It was delivered November 3, 2022. I didn’t even get 3 months out of it.

MSU Sparty Fan: I bought 2 of these 36 inch lights to go over my 6 foot, 125 gallon aquarium. They are a great value. They are bright. Unfortunately, just outside the return window, 1 works well still and the other light started flickering, but settling to be on for a few weeks. Now it does not work in the full spectrum settings, only the white light setting. I have been using these since mid January, 2022. The one light started being faulty in April 2022. They also seem to be fussy about which of the 3 settings they are on. I can't really find a consistent pattern to get them to cycle through the settings, even on the light that does work. *EDIT AQQA replaced my intermittent light with no questions asked. Very prompt and courteous service.
