I purchased this as a gift for my sister for her two children. She says it is awesome for playing outside. She is teaching them how to use nature to survive and is into homesteading so it was a hit with her. I actually plan on purchasing it for myself too. I live in the Midwest in the country and it would be cool to be able to forage some things!

descriptions, sketches leave a lot to the imagination. I'd want someone well versed on plants to use this book and would not recommend it as a guide to foraging for the novice. So many lookalikes are noxious .

Love this book so far. I’m excited to take my kid foraging. It’ll be a great and fun learning experience plus being out in nature. I also love it has a few recipes as well. I wasn’t expecting that.

ALPHA RAW :
Contains alot of valuable information though it is a bit overwhelming. The page layouts are overstimulating visually and distract from any point or topic of information to be obtained. Hopefully when the kiddos are older they find value in it.

You would think for a book to help identify plants for kids, it would be easy to read and colorful, this is the opposite of that. I was excited for this purchase to take it camping and hiking with us, but I find it useless and will probably be returning it.

This is a lovely little book that's great for teaching your kids, but it also is great for beginners. I recommend it regularly to other people looking for resources to get into foraging. The picture diagrams are clear and information is concise and easy to understand for those without a background in botany.
