I am a huge Finnex fan now, and most of the reason for that is this set of lights. This is my second fixture by finnex, and they're unmatched in terms of build quality and performance. I plan to replace all of my aquarium lights with these; the power savings alone are worth it.
My one gripe is that the cord is pretty short, but it's nothing an extension can't fix.

Ethan:
I bought this light for a fluval chi, the 6.6 gallon, taller one. It sits securely on the tank with the adjustable screws, though the screws are plastic so maybe too much force on them would break them. I like the blue moon light feature, though this cannot be used with a timer and must be manually switched on/off while the fixture is already powered. That's ok for me though. I also like the sleek look of this fixture, it doesn't distract from the tank.
Since putting this light on over a month ago, my plants have grown tremendously! I have only the most basic of plants (amazon swords, wisteria, and java fern) but they were really not growing with the stock light on the tank. Got this one and now the wisteria has grown up the tank, across the surface diagonally, and is making its way back across. The swords have now reached the top of the tank (and will hopefully stop growing...). The fish seem somewhat indifferent, but it does provide ample light for viewing them. I'd highly recommend this and plan on getting another for my second freshwater setup.

Chris A. Powell:
Bought this based on the other reviews and couldn't be happier. My plants are doing much better than with the old led lights. Fits very well. I like the blue moon light, but for some reason the fish don't. I flip it on and they start flipping out. After a while they will settle down, so I rarely use it, mostly just to show other people. It's it a little pricy for LEDs, but so are most of the other lights. Glad I bought this instead of bulb system. I have very hard water and this looks easy to clean if I get much calcium build up.
The lights run the length of the bar and depending on your positioning, will light up the whole front to back, side to side. If you have nocturnal animals, you should make sure they have a light free place to hide out. The bar sit just less than 2 inches above the tank. The switch is a little hard to get to for me because of my fat fingers and it has a soft flexible cover over it to protect it from water. The switches are somewhat tiny and are of the rocker type. There are two switches at each end, one for the white light and one of the blue. Power cord is about 6ft long. You can adjust the fitting smaller, but it will not go much...

Bryan:
I added this light on an aquarium that was temporarily set up while I have been re-building my main tank. The tank has plants and wanted to see how well they would respond to the led's.
The quality of the light is what I expected. I have had no problems with it. The light runs on a timer and burns five hours a day. I have it sitting on top of the plexiglass cover to the aquarium. The light burns in the daylight spectrum and illuminates the plants and fish with a pleasant hue.
The light has legs that can be moved along the length of the light that allow it to be adjusted to the width of the tank. If you want it to sit on the edges of tank be sure to order the correct size for your tank.
The light has been burning for four months and I am very pleased with the results. Both the Amazon swords and the Cryptocorynes have done well. Growth has not been as robust as with my CFL lights in the main tank; however, there also have not been any alge problems (something the main tank has been plagued with due to the excessive heat of the CFL as they were set up). I have not experimented with burning the light longer each day but suspect that if I do...

Brian: It's very light and does not get very hot if left on for long time. I was a bit nervous if this LED light is good for my carpet dwarf baby tears for my 10 gallon but it's fantastic. I would buy one for my friends and family.
