Get yours today and make your workshop complete!GB: This is not the sturdiest vise in the world but it’s quite handy and does the job for small work. Unfortunately it’s all made of stripping prone soft aluminum. The C clamp to hold on the table top should be deeper as it position the vise right on the table’s edge and with time it has a tendency to slip out. I didn’t want to clamp it too hard in fear of stripping the screw or damaging the table. I highly recommend to add a thin 1/2 inch washer between the jaw screw handle and the surface of the fixed jaw, this will increase longevity and clamping strength. Also, the item is delivered fully dry so you need to lightly lubricate all moving parts with oil or grease.

Jennifer YoungJennifer Young: Since I received it in April I've had this clamped to one of those collapsible folding tables you might take camping - said table is made of sturdy, thick plastic and metal, used solely in my crafting room. Nothing has been spilled on or near this clamp, and while it seems sturdy and has held up under the minor use its seen (holding small resin works still so I can drill jump ring holes) I took it off the table today to move it and found it's stained the surface underneath. Would caution others to maybe put something between the clamp and the surface you're clamping to, or else only clamp this to something you don't mind potentially being stained or "ruined." Luckily this is a work table that's not meant to remain pristine so not the biggest deal for me personally but it might be for others.

Dave: All the reviews about this vise breaking or not holding securely I have to assume either got a defective one or are trying to use it for things they really need a much heavier duty vise for.
With the understanding that this is designed to hold small things still at your work bench while you perform tasks that don't involve large amounts of force, this thing works spectacularly. It isn't gonna hold a 2x4 while you cut it with a hand saw. But it's great for locksmithing, jewelry work, electronics work, etc.

AmazonUser: This is a small lightweight tool which does its job perfectly for its size and price.
People expecting to use it like a heavy duty workshop vice or for heavy loads are amateurs/diy guys who can't tell the difference between professional grade and let light duty usage. Ignore all reviews which say this is not sturdy, they don't know what they are doing

Brad B.: lots of rough edges, a little Jank, loose fitting machinery does the job though.

Daniel N.: This came in a box that is all in German, and has a solid build to it that is consistent with what I would expect out of a German-made item. It is good-sized and does everything as listed and shown in the listing photos. There weren't any directions in the box, but if you are a DIY kind of person, it shouldn't be hard for you to figure it out. I would grade it a medium level bench vice, definitely WAY above those 'toy' vices made in China that are small as the palm of your hand and pretty flimsy. For most 'not-large or really heavy' DIY projects, I think it would be fine, and for the price you can't beat it. It's a Prime item and mine came overnight, with a $25 total purchase.
Update: I have used the vice several times now. I saw some of the recent critical reviews over the last 6 months about falling apart, poor craftmanship, junk, made in China etc. I just don't see it. This is a great product and everything about it is strong and firm and easily manipulates to any sort of tile or position you want and tightens down with no issues. And no way is this made in China. I think maybe some people just want to say bad things because they can or they have other motivations. This is...
