Heather H: The vice is a solid piece of steel. I consider the fit and finish high quality. It isn't a German made machine, but fits and works well. All parts of the vice act as I would expect them to. I am very happy with the quality and weight of the vice. I will recommend it to other and will buy again if the need arises.

Robert James: I was trying to bend back some bent long nose vise grips and pounded on them with a hammer real hard on that square piece on top of the vise and put some small dents in it. It's not meant for that kind of use, don't do what I did, use a real anvil.

Robert: Researched many bench vises and the Forward company seemed to be good in comparison. Shipping and packing were perfect for such a heavy vise. Looks great on my bench and very little play or looseness. If you have the room, the 6" might be better as the 5" jaws look a little small for my needs. But the 5" version had the better sale. A winner but time will tell.

Mattdarlene: Very pleased with this vise. I like how the jaws rotate together, and the clamp that locks the body in place does so with teeth, so you don't have to tighten them down really tight. There are actually two different pipe jaws, the big ones hold tubes lengthwise, and a pair on top that hold tubes from the end.

Mark: For the price, you really can't beat this vise. Is it a cheap vise? Yes, it is, but... When I first got the vise, I did what most people do, take it all apart and clean it up. The swivel base has no machining whatsoever so, I took a little sandpaper, then a flattening block to the base and bottom of the vise, hit a few other minor rough spots, greased the whole vise up and it has surprisingly smooth action for an inexpensive vise. The jaw pads are cheap, but I use my vise with nylon pads so its a non-issue for me. Time will tell if it holds up to abuse, but by the looks of it, it should last a good long time.

Robert Thompson: The vice does what it should I suppose. The swivel base is quite difficult to turn. Poor design but locks tight. The jaws started chipping as soon as I used them.

webmarlowebmarlo: J'aurai donné 5 étoiles mais j'ai remarqué un point qui me dérangeais, quand vous tourné l'étau sur 360 horizontal, c'est pas trop fluide... ca bloque de temps en temps.... la conception pour manœuvrer le bas de l'étau est très basique, j'ai du rajouté des ressorts sur les boulons pour que la plaque garde une tension vers le haut car l'étau a tendance a sortir de sa base quand on tourne celle-ci sur l'horizontal.....par la suite et comme la photo j'ai fait des mords sur les boulons pour que la base ne sorte pas de son contour... pour le reste, le temps va le dire... mais je suis content quand même. I would have given 5 stars but I noticed a point that bothered me, when you turn the vice on 360 horizontal, it's not too fluid... it blocks from time to time.... the design to maneuver the bottom of the vise is very basic, I had to add springs on the bolts so that the plate keeps a tension upwards because the vise tends to come out of its base when you turn it on the horizontal..... afterwards and like the picture I made bites on the bolts so that the base does not come out of its contour ... for the rest, time will tell ... but I'm happy anyway
