mjm: I got these to mostly protect my computer's USB-3's port connector's. If I'm going to wear out a USP connector, I'd rather wear out/replace these little guys than fix my expensive computer USB-3s. Capice? As far as that goes, it's just another variation of short USB cables (for the same purpose). Both work. And I noticed that these connectors fit very snugly into the 5-year old computer's ports. That's also good.

H. M. G., Jr.: I have installed all four couplers - 2 on the USB ports of my desktop and one each on the USB cables of my two Samsung external drives. All have worked perfectly. I purchased them to save wear and tear on my USB ports and USB cables. I cannot speak to durability since I have only had them for a short while. I would not hesitate to buy them again if the need arises.

AmazonFan: I had a USB port on a device that was placed in a very awkward location on my computer. I could not get all of my items plugged in. I picked this up on amazon just to pull the connector out an inch or so, and this worked perfectly. Still maintained usb3 speeds, and now everything fits nicely behind my computer.

Dary: Four is too much but you never know if one fails though.
I bought them because I need to for my wireless receiver keyboard which is on one of my smart Tv.
That very handy fit sure as my receiver is tiny and it is hard to take it off from Tv’s usb connector.
