Amazon Customer: We ordered a water heater in april and 4 months later it just stopped working. So i contacted the company and their customer service was top notch! I spoke with Elaine via email and she was so friendly and informative. After i sent a clip of our unit malfunctioning, she assured us that we would get a brand new replacement at no cost to us. We have our new heater and the unit itself works amazing. It heats up very fast and the temperature stays consistant. We just happened to get one that didnt want to work but the company was quick to fix the issues and our new one works flawlessly. I would definitely buy products from this company again. They are what companies should be today and they stand by their products! Way to go Ecotouch!

Amazon Customer: Water flow sensor is poor and not consistent, will burn you if your in the shower due to water flow sensor. product is faulty and does not sense waterflow most times. Amazon will not let you return this item fyi

Advise to place a 60 amp rated power (shutoff) device in the electrical feed near the heater, not under it, and not depend soley on the 60 amp circuit breaker at the electrical panel a distance away.
Place unit in a central location to the most used hot water.
Insulate the Hot water exit lines from the heater.
Note: Any Emergency home Electrical Generator must be rated for 15Kw or larger if this unit is used when Generator is the source of power and hot water is drawn.

RichardRichard: I first was skeptical of the price versus the quality that would end up at my door. They shipped it quickly and I was amazed at the actual size, quality and weight. The unit was very easy to install I just caution anyone looking to buy one to really think on placement. The electric wire is very expensive and you have to run 2 sets of it, I used 6-2 romex x 2 and then had to buy 2- 40amp 220 breakers. Depending on how far from your breaker box is from the unit it may cost you more in wire than the unit itself. Installing the hanger brackets needs to be precise measurement it calls for in the install directions, being off by an 1/8 inch doesn't let it sit tight on the wall. At this time it has been 3 days since I installed it and it works great, very easy to set the temp. I personally like seeing the actual flow rate displayed when it calls for hot water. It brings the water temp up quickly and it holds it at that temp consistently. I understand that the water temp output will be directly affected to the water temp input so we will wait and see what the winter has in store for us but I feel confident that I chose the correct size and proper placement. Amazon Customer: Four stars are based on what I know so far, I have not used it yet.

I have to say so far I am quite pleased. I received it today and was nervous at first, because although it was double boxed the Styrofoam in the inner box was beat up quite badly, but the unit looks good inside and out. It’s funny they put a tamper proof sticker over the cover screw on the bottom right hand corner yet inside is where the reset button is, so I’ve already removed that screw plus to do a nice mounting job ( without using their brackets for a cleaner look) you need to go inside anyways,m. The construction of this unit looks really, really good. The last unit I bought I had returned for two reasons, the first one is that I ordered an 8000 watt unit and when I took the cover off to mount it, it only had a 6000 W heater in it (not from this company), and secondly, it really looked like crap and very cheap especially inside, the connections looked weak, and the soldering looked terrible. This unit is much heavier, much more solid, much better finish inside and out just looks and feels like much higher quality. I sure hope it works nice when I get to hook it up, I will update after.

Chris: I have installed 7 tankless electric water heaters. 3 of those were replacements for other heaters that were less than 2 years old. This one is different. The elements appear to be enclosed in insulated ceramic. It produces hot water much more quickly and efficiently. There is a flow meter built in to the display which is a first for me. All previous heaters have the same ‘guts’ but different names on the front.

There is one area where this item could be improved. Access to the wiring is on the side and cannot be accessed from the front. In my installation this was very troubling.

Michael J. WalshMichael J. Walsh: Item arrived and I unboxed it to find that the case face was damaged and 3 of the 4 machine screws that are supposed to hold the heating element down were loose and rattling around inside, which left me very unimpressed.

The heating element is currently held down by four machine screws that screw into sheet metal brackets welded to the case back. I suspect that, due to the weight of the heating element and maybe some rough handling after manufacture, these machine screws worked them self out (one actually did strip altogether) and then one or more got trapped between the heating element and the case front.

In communication with the sellers (who are very good, BTW), I suggested that instead of just relying on the bracket to hold such a heavy component, that each bracket should also have a clip nut. I also asked for a replacement front cover, but accepted a $20 goodwill refund when told that none was available.

So I hooked the unit up and it actually works quite well. The thermostat seems to be a bit of a wild card, and I haven't played around with it enough yet to figure out if it's over-reading or not, but it appears to be 10 degrees off (higher) than the...
