Anonymous: I've had this cookbook since it came out and turn to it time and time again! Photos of every single recipe! The Italian Vinaigrette recipe is hands down the best! We also love the sweet potato muffins and the holiday dinner torte!

Poops: Really pleased I got this. I already follow a plant exclusive diet, with very few (if any) processed foods, particularly no oil or refined sugar. These recipes not only align with that (if you opt for wholegrain pasta, etc.) but are so straightforward and doable too. I haven't seen any hard-to-get ingredients listed, but everything I've made so far has been really tasty. I'm tempted to try making the Truffle-Salted Nut Cheese especially as it looks so easy, but worried I'd eat it all in one sitting.
Thank you!
P.S. Yes, recipes use American cup measurements but the conversion tables are quick and easy to use. Or you could just buy a set of cups - there seem to be many good American WFPB/SOS free cook books out there, and I found having them really useful since switching to this way of eating.

Shelley: This is definitely one of my favourite vegan cook books and I have many!
Not only are the recipes so delicious and easy to follow but the beautiful photos and quality of the cookbook is excellent. One of my favourite recipes is the Pressure Cooker New Years Baked Beans!
I love Dreenas introduction in the beginning as you really get to know the author and she has so many tips to share, this book has so much besides recipes, it’s the whole food, vegan lifestyle.
Thank you for writing Dreenas Kind Kitchen, your such an inspiration!

reading mum: I was really looking forward to having this book after seeing recipes and pictures on social media and the recipes are great, as is the photography, but for me it is really let down by only using cup measurements instead of more accurate weights. There is a conversion table at the back but I don’t want to be turning pages back and forth when following a recipe. I know I will not use it as much as I would like because of this inconvenience.

Amazon Customer: Absolutely loving the book so far. Everything I made so far has been delicious. Dreena really knows how to make flavours work together beautifully. This is my first of her cookbooks but her famous sweet potato chocolate cake wowed everyone I made it for and if that was the standard, I knew the book would be great, which it is. I have already bought another for a loved one and it's great to know that this will be one I can rely on to recommend to others, knowing that the recipes are easy to make, there are many explanations, they taste amazing, there's zero oil and there's plenty of extra tips both about plant based eating and what to do with extras and leftovers to give new life to them. Very happy with my purchase and looking forward to making my way through the book. Literally every recipe appeals to me!

Jacquie: This is my third Dreena Cookbook - I love making new recipes with ingredients that are healthy for the body and soul.
I will be trying some recipes this long weekend but have been looking through the book nightly to become familiar with it. I am seriously impressed by the care taken with the book's layout and the easy of navigation. The colour coding (by chapters) is a fabulous help as are the cooking guides and recipe index.

I would recommend this to experienced plant based cooking folks as well as anyone exploring the possibility. Dreena's recipes never intimidate the novice and everything I've tried in all of her cookbooks has has turned out 100% as described.

CCCC: I've been a huge fan of Dreena for years and was so excited when I saw she had a new book coming out. Not only does she seem to be a lovely person, but her cookbooks are always what I turn to when I want something healthy but reliably tasty.

So far I've made the following (and more):
- sunshine hummus
- cornucopia salad with Buddha dressing
- sweet potato muffins
- beyond beet burgers
- smoky Caesar dressing
- chickpea satay casserole
- wow em waffles
- smashed potatoes
- lemon Dijon potatoes (it's amazing how browned these get, and I only used coconut milk, not the thick cream)
- top of the muffin
- muesli
- gingerbread granola
- Italian dressing (one of the best oil-free dressings I've had)
- alphabet soup
- light and fluffy pancakes (I suck at making pancakes and these turned out perfectly; they also freeze well)
- summer chickpea salad
- nut-free pad thai (the sauce sounds a little weird TBH, but turned out so good, even with the ketchup option)
- guac dressing
- yellow cake- used 1/2 recipe to make two 6in layers and orange sweet potato because they're a lot cheaper here (also was appropriate for Halloween 🎃)....

KellyKelly: The first three recipes I've made (zucchini fritters pg 147, chocolate zucchini bread pg 56, couch potato salad pg 80) were all easy and incredibly delicious.

Have read this book cover to cover and am so impressed! It is full of food I want to make, and the recipes are things I can picture my kids and extended family eating. You can tell Dreena Burton is an experienced cookbook author even if you didn't already know because she calls for smart shortcuts like blending wet ingredients together for the zucchini bread, and minimizing dishes or pans for recipes, and she anticipates common questions and includes notes for people who might want to substitute something or have a question about the process.

I have other cookbooks by this author and love her food because she has years of recipe development and is incredible at balancing flavors and acidity and at assembling and creating flavors that are far greater than the sum of their parts. When I made the potato salad, I had no idea from the ingredient list just how the dressing would taste - Dreena has a great skill at flavor combinations. She has also been instrumental in revolutionizing baking without tons of oil and...
