Hendrix: I have used these fill valves before and install them in all my toilets, because they are really easy to install and last a while. However, I am running into a problem that I have never encountered before and that is this valve whistles after it has filled the bowl. Not sure why, because the water valve is turned on and I have tried to adjust the dial on this but to no avail. If someone has a solution, please let me know.

Lee: Sometimes they work. Sometime they leak. I got two. One worked perfectly, the other leaked. There are multiple sellers of these, so I can not tell you which was which -- but they wee packaged the same, and as you can imagine, they all come from China. Easy to install.

Michael Watt: The package states that this valve is not designed for low-boy toilets but I installed it in one without problems. Perhaps it is a matter of water level adjustment range.

scaudio: Fills Fast & Quietly With Virtually No Moving Parts.
Pros: Adjust the water level with a small turn of a thumb screw.
Installs in minutes with only pliers to lightly snug it down.
Quietly fills most all tanks in 90 seconds or less.
Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand leaving your tank clutter free.
Cons: Lasts only 4-5 yrs. on average. But still not bad for under 10 bucks!
Well there yah have it. Four stars lit for pros., and one star not lit for cons.
Hope this review helps.

elawcn: Solve my problem. I get a low tank installed couple of fill valves unknown reasons always slow refill and leaking , replace this one work. One thing different is that when the valve shut off will still add water in the next few hours it add 40% of the total.

Kindle Customer: I read the reviews! 1 & 2 stars, and then a couple of 3 and 5 stars. Well, I can't speak to any other product than the ones I received, and those were 5 stars. I started by turning off the water, then I flushed the commode. After the flushing, I took the tank lid off, splashed the water into the center hole as best as I could, took a small cup and emptied as much more as I could, then I dropped a couple of wash clothes into the tank to finish drying it out. At that point, I unscrewed the water supply line from the old valve and pushed it aside. I removed the old valve at that point, careful to dry up any water as I proceeded. After I removed the old one, I installed the new one, very easily done. At that point I reconnected the supply water line, turned the water on, and proceeded to adjust the little screw until I got the desired depth of water. 10 minutes from start to finish, and my wife is happy with me now, no noise of running water!

GoFast: This thing is the simplest fill valve that I've ever installed. only two simple turns of the adjuster knob to get fill height fine-tuned. These things fill the tank in about 45 seconds, just like the old float ball valves. The "tower" type ones that Fluidmaster and other manufacturers sell are terrible on fill times- 4 minutes on average for both that are installed in my house. I did read the other Amazon reviews here before I purchased, which mentioned failure of the units in short period of time, but decided to try anyhow, since they are less than 10 bucks. If they don't last, I will begrudgingly return to my Fluidmaster ones. I did buy 3 of these so I have extras on hand,as others mentioned in reviews that some of them tend to malfunction on the initial install- I've had no such issues yet.

UPDATE, 7/21/13-over 4 months now and no failure, fill valve still works flawlessly.

Peter Stewart: I installed this in Nov 2021 and now August 2022. We were just on the way out and my wife heard a hissing noise. Water all over the bathroom floor leaking into the basement ceiling and staining it!! I took it out and reinstalled a new washer, put it back together, and still leaked around the bottom side of tank. Runs for ever! So I reluctantly installed another one and all was ok. So what is the logic? The washer made no difference, then it must be the mechanical part of it. So the water outlets had enlarged making it noisier when tank fills..... but should't cause the leak. Look at the threads on it...all ok....but you will see some rims on the top of the threads that don't go all the way around.....others the same....so likely not that! But there are 2 holes on bottom of the unit that the washer covers while in the tank....so I took the whole unit apart to find the the diaphragm was all gummy and stretched, so I removed it and there it was the 2 holes on the bottom on the unit !!! Shone a flashlight through it. So once the diaphragm is shot you get a direct leak, using house water pressure, between the nut and bottom of tank. Would a washer help on bottom side of tank ...not...
