Bill Poirier: This book combined with the “reversing and preventing heart disease” book is like the bible to healthy eating. It lays out so many options on plant based whole grain food options which will alter your lifestyle and the way you think about food

Jak: A friend highly recommended we read the Esselstyne book after they and a few of their friends had extraordinarily improved blood lab results when they started following the diet recommendations. I made just two of the recipes from the book so far and am hooked. Flavorful and easy to prepare recipes that are without added fats or salt for the most part. Highly recommend you try it. Time will tell if I too am able to lower my bad cholesterol or if I can naturally lower my blood pressure but I am optimistic. Meantime, my tastebuds are definitely NOT suffering as I try!

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: The front cover of the book is sliced open near the spine, only around 5cm is still attached. The cut also goes through a couple of pages. Packaging was intact. Needed for a course this week or would be returning for a replacement. Not impressed as I ordered a new book.

Winston, TN: This book and Rip Esselstyn’s books are my new favorite vegan cookbooks. I have been an on off vegan and raw vegan most of my adult life. I don't fall off because I desire other foods. I do because I have been trying to feel well my whole life. I had a cardiologist father, a Nana who found every remedy in her garden and an educator Mommy so I just love Jane and Ann’s family dynamic which is so similar to mine. The bonus of learning from an entire family is huge. I am very discerning on who I choose to learn from. My Mother just died of heart failure at 87. Same age as Doc Essie. Look at him!!!! Best Cardio guys at NYU Langone in NYC. I begged her to eat vegan but it was not going to happen which makes me so sad that I did not read Dr. Essie’s book sooner and push her to as well. I did read many others which can drive you crazy because you are told many different things.

I got the first “Cov..-Vac..” shot about seven weeks and became horribly ill. Prior to that my energy level and health felt GREAT! It was the “Mod..” vaccine. My digestive system went into failure mode. I was regurgitating bile, I had pains in all of my digestive organs, I could not sleep at...

Mike GC: After 7 long years of going down hill with 6 Cardiac Events including 4 heart attacks, 7 Angiograms, 4 Stents and finally By-pass surgery. After the surgery the surgeon said the bottom of my heart looked like it had been eaten away due to the multiple injuries that caused no blood flow to that area. After this I went into Heart Failure, HEF 14%. my lungs were filling up with fluids. I couldn't walk far and I was Dying. We got this book, next day we cleared out our pantry of all offending foods, We started learning to eat and prepare meals the way the book describes. Today I will go to the beach and go body surfing, I will finish a new garden bed by digging and building a retaining wall. I am at my perfect weight and I feel great. If you are having heart problems, do not delay. Follow it to the letter. No excuses about "oooh I couldn't give up cheese" or some other whinge. Don't be pathetic, just get on and do it and enjoy the rest of your life FULLY.

Frances Free: The recipes in this book are fairly easy, even for people like me who don't always follow measurements or ingredient lists exactly. Amongst others I've made the S.O.B Burgers (watch the YouTube video with Jane and Ann) - I put too much liquid stock in, and didn't have enough cooked rice - so instead of making burgers I cooked it as an S.O.B. bake in the oven instead ... it was yummy.

The version of the book I have is missing the 'Hearty Salads' pages 151 to 167 though ... not sure if others have the same problem?
Thanks
Frances
