Shylo: Only buy this brand of coffee maker, they seem to last us over ten years. First time getting the glass pot, usually buy the thermal pot, find the glass keeps,the coffee hotter.

Rick D. Huff: Not easy to clean as there are a lot of nooks and crannys inside the coffee maker that requires the use of cotton swabs to get at them. It makes a great pot of coffee however and this is our second pot of this particular model. The old one is still working but with prices constantly shooting up higher every day, I bought this as insurance and a bit of a hedge on this really gross inflationary spiral we're in. As a comparison, our current pot was seventy eight bucks and this one is now a hundred! So, it's an investment and a hedge.

Sara Madison Carpenter: This was my first coffee maker. Newer versions have come out that do not work as well. The unit has to be replaced about every 10 years but with regular cleaning and maintenance, it is a wonderful coffee maker.

Judith A. Bartow: This is a replacement coffee maker. The last Cuisinart, exact model, lasted 10 years. I was ready for a fresh start. The coffee maker is attractive, clean appearing and easy to use. In fact, I ordered 2 of them as my husband & I dring different styles of coffee and we like to have our coffee together in the morning.

Marcia Purse: After at least 10 years, my old Cuisinart gave up and died. It had served me so well for so long that I was delighted to find the same model was still available. (There are newer models, but they make a different number of cups, and I know exactly how many scoops of beans to grind to get the perfect coffee in 12 cups.) The only difference between the old and new coffee makers is the new one has a silver-colored plate on the front top instead of black. It works perfectly, and now I have two carafes so I can make decaf in one for evenings and regular in the other for daytime: happy happy joy joy! Cuisinart, please don't ever discontinue this model, as I might need a new one in 10-15 years.

Jo MacConnell: This Cuisinart model is well built and reliably brews a good cup of coffee. I replaced my 10+ year old Cuisinart 1-1/2 years ago with a more expensive OXO coffee maker that never functioned properly. I always got lukewarm coffee and relied on the microwave to ready my cup. That purchase was a mistake. Since my old Cuisinart was so reliable over the years, I decided to again purchase the same model as before, though it’s 14 instead of 12 cups. I typically measure for 2 cups and it always comes out hot and flavorful. In addition, it includes a permanent filter, as well as being able to set hot plate temperature and future brew time. This Cuisinart coffee maker is a definite plus!
