And not as huge as I was afraid it would be, since its actual measurements are considerably smaller than indicated in the product information. Actual size is 14 x 19.5 x 32.5. Fits perfectly in the opening between my kitchen and family room so it can do double duty removing cooking smoke and odors as well as dealing with my dog’s fur. Highly recommended.

Amazon Customer: I purchased this product because I moved into a loft building and the place was smelling a touch less than fresh. I’ve had the unit running for about 4 weeks now and I can notice a significant difference in the place. A fluke discovery I made this week and is what prompted me to write the review, was I fried some fish on the stove top and within 5 mins, the indication on the unit changed to a yellow orange colour to signify it has detected contaminates in the air. After about an hour and half, the indicator was back to green blue and you couldn’t smell a single odour from the dinner, absolutely amazing (Ive repeated this twice with alternate foods and same results).
*Sound is equivalent to a standard oscillating fan, not bad at all.
*Build quality - excellent
*User Friendly - excellent

jean huot: Quiet, large and thick filters. Does not show exact ppm, but indicates good, moderate, unhealthy and very unhealthy. Fairly big unit compared to competition. Well built. Des not use bluetooth., but i guess can be monitored remotely via internet. Got it on sale, but would not pay full price. PreFilter is at 96% current state and hepa filter at 100%. Carbon filter integrated with hepa filter. Easy access to filters. Granular carbon filter; more efficient. Intelligent fan speed control increases speed when there is more pollution. Wish I had it last week when polution was at a high level indoor.

trbizwiztrbizwiz: I love a lot about this air filter. I really like the smart features. I originally thought they would be gimmicky, but after living with it for a few weeks I have experienced the value. I love that it detects the airborne contaminants, and increases air circulation to clean the air. I’ve noticed that it increases air flow during high traffic and vacuuming, among other things. I like that I can check the app for air quality, and I can see past air quality as well. I like that the filter knows when it’s bedtime and decreases airflow, in order to keep noise pollution down, for quiet tearfulness.
Now on to effectiveness. We have a nearly 3000 square foot new construction home. It’s about three years old. Most of our air contaminants likely come from area construction, as well as a year round growing season, with year round pollen and similar contaminants. My oldest child has had a persistent hack for the last couple of years. I would not really call it a cough, so much as a hack. Every few minutes he would do a throat and lunch clearing cough. go2girlgo2girl: So like many others in the Bay Area, we have been hit with unprecedented air levels during the Camp Fire disaster, and levels of particles in the air reached 263 on Friday which is “Hazardous” and all local schools were closed a few days ago. I had my 79-year old mother and a cousin with a 2-year old toddler coming to stay for the holidays, as well as two girls ages 9 and 11. We ended up telling the family with the toddler to stay clear of the area. My mom did fly in and we have masks we are wearing if we go outside.

After researching for hours and hours and asking my friends for advice, I went ahead and purchased this air purifier. I have been using it for a few days now. It shipped 1-day from Amazon and I immediately put it to use. After an evening of use, my scratchy throat was better the next day. And the indoor air felt clean and refreshed. As if the window was opened. Here were my main considerations:

LB: I did a lot of research on air purifiers before settling on this one (400S). After purchasing it I have to say I'm extremely impressed.

Build quality is fantastic, it moves a lot of air through it, on the low settings it's super quiet (and still move good air).

I was able to connect it to my AmpliFi mesh network no problem, I didn't have any of the connection issues others have
experienced.

The scheduling works very well. There's a very small bug in the scheduling if you are trying to do things specific (too long to go into it in the review). But I have been in contact with Coway and they are working on the fix right now.
Their customer support is amazing, fast replies and very friendly.

The sensor works great. The 1st one we got is in the Master bedroom, so once we start making the bed in the morning it will sense the "dust" coming off the bed and will kick into medium speed. Even just moving around it will sometime kick it into medium because you are kicking up dust from the carpet (which can hold a lot of dust). So it knows when the air isn't 100% perfect.
