Jean G.: ARRIVAL: the product was well built, great first impression. Could use a different tape so not so hard to separate from the machine and leaves sticky glues all over the place.
USAGE: We used twice filtered water, 1st from the fridge filter, then through Brita. The machine worked flawlessly. The coffee and tea comes out tasty and just right. We did regular descaling with vinegar. No residue found in the filter nozzle like it was with a different brand.
THEN IT DIED: After 3 weeks of flawless performance, the last descaling we did, most of the vinegar water came out everywhere and only a small amount to the cup. We tried everything including unplug and let it sit for a few days. The best we got was small amount of water to the cup and the rest spilled out from the top and the bottom.
CONTACT Amazon: We did not want to return the machine but figured there got to be a way to fix it. Amazon staff was extremely helpful. Directing us to send the seller a message, insist on waiting online and making sure we did it. And gave us $10 credit for our trouble. Bravo!

WDEJG's Mom: Like the convenience of kcups but still like to make a GOOD cup of ground coffee (not the crappy kcup refill pod)?

This one is absofrickenlutely perfect. I bought one over a year ago, daily use, traveled from house to camper and across the country multiple times, and it's still going strong. I recently bought a 2nd one because I want it to stay permanently in my camper. I love it so much!

I struggled to find a coffee maker that worked for me. I don't need a full coffeemaker since I'm the only coffee drinker and I only drink 2-4 cups a day. But I hated my single cup coffee makers and having to fill them up for every cup. I love that I can have multiple cups of coffee before I need to fill the water reservoir.

I was never pleased with the strength of ground coffee in the refillable kcups, even stuffed to the brim. This one has an actual small brew basket that is 2-3 times the size of a refillable kcup so you can get a nice strong cup of coffee.

Bichon Lover: July 21 update: July 19 got a replacement after the return window closed from manufacturer. Great comms. And the new one heats up hot to 180 degrees. Happy camper. I really LOVE this maker along as the heater lasts more than 2 months. July 8 UPDATE: July 7 got a luke warm cup of coffee at 125 deg. . Same on July 8. Heating element failing. Return window closed. Contacted manufacturer. Outstanding responsiveness and communication! They wanted a video of the problem which was not easy to make short enough to email and describe. They got the video and immediately sent a replacement. Original review: I was looking to replace my 12 c drip carafe maker which was not giving me hot coffee (around 145 deg) and has a big footprint. My husband does k cups which I deplore for the environment and I do ground. I also wanted a tall area to accommodate my tumbler and thermos. I tried the Chefman and found it made very weak coffee (around 165deg) for both k cup and ground and I did a review. The Bosen makes good , hot (around 180 deg) coffee first and foremost.
