Ella Karen: ... I like the book. Have read it before and wanted to own it. Kinda bummed it didn't have the new, green cover but just glad it came.

Kait M: Millie has always been one of the guys with her four male best friends. When they make a pact to try online dating and find an actual date for a gala coming up, she tries but finds herself enamored with her recent half night stand. Reid is her best friend, they just get each other. After their secret night, they decide they’re better off as friends. When she makes another account on the dating site and matches with Reid, will she finally open herself up to another person?
Ahh what a ride!! I honestly loved this because it hit home with me. I never was very open and always feared of being judged so I had an anonymous dating account. It never went that far but I enjoyed where the story went!
Millie is so relatable and Reid is so sweet, I loved them together. I liked that even though they weren’t openly honest with each other, they were honest in some way. And in a twist of events, SHE GROVELS!

Rin: I loved the dynamic of the friend group, i loved how the authors tackled the subject of loneliness and finding it hard to open up to others, even to people who care about you.
The catfishing part didn't bother me too much because it was called out. I don't give it 5 stars because I could have connected to the main characters more. Sometimes they were a bit frustrating. And there were no real big surprise, it's a classic romance plot. Very enjoyable and quick read though, perfect to relax and escape for a while :)

D'ondra LewisD'ondra Lewis: I'll admit I was kind of hesitant to read this book based on the idea of "catfishing" alone. That's never sexy and I couldn't imagine how that would come on across. That being said Christina Lauren is my favorite writing duo, and I do believe that they can't write a bad book, so I dove right in and was so glad for it. I really enjoyed this book. In fact it might be my favorite book of the year of 2019 (starting 2019 off right). It's funny how this is the first time that I can honestly say I loved the male character more than the female character. Reid was my everything. He was sensitive, smart, handsome, genuine and I know that any man or woman wants that in a partner. I couldn't get enough of him. And the group dynamic was such a breath of fresh air. I craved reading about the group and when they finally came around I still couldn't get enough of them. While I'm talking about the group can I just make a request to Christina Lauren to write separate books on Ed, Alex and Chris.? They just felt like such genuine characters who I immediately became enamored with. And I think they deserve their own books so that their stories can be further told. When I got closer to the end of the...

Kelly: My Favourite Half-Night Stand was another great read by Christina Lauren. Millie and Reid are the main characters in this story, and the story revolves around a circle of close friends - with Millie being the only female, that decide to join an online dating service together.
Millie is pretty much just one of the guys - they do everything together, and she is firmly in the friend zone with all of them.......Until she is not, following a half night stand with Reid that starts to complicate issues. Oh man - these 2 were completely clueless when it came to working out how they felt about the other. Reid is a gorgeous guy, has a great relationship with Millie, is super smart, but is also conflicted about his feelings for Millie, and his emerging feelings for Catherine, who he is matched with online and messages back and forth with.
And of course, as mentioned in the blurb, Catherine is Millie!! I was just waiting for the moment where it all fell apart, when Reid realises who Catherine is. Awkward!! This was a fun read with just a little bit of angst waiting for these guys to sort themselves out.

Marivi: This the story of a group of friends, four men and a woman in their late twenties/early thirties. They all work at the same university, they are all single, quirky, funny and all of them are nerds in their own kind of way.
A few months later there is a big celebration at their University, and they decide that they all need a plus one for that party, so they decide to join a dating app to find their partner. Millie is the one to create everyone's dating profiles, including hers. While all the guys are receiving messages, Millie basically receives dick pics and requests for boobie pics, so she creates a second, secret profile, only known by her. But then, the dating app matches her with Reid, her best friend in the group, just a few days after they had a "half-night stand".
Millie is a peculiar person, in the sense that she is smart, funny, and sarcastic, but she doesn't talk about her or her life. Whenever she feels a deep conversation is coming, she deflects and turns to jokes or changes the subject, and all the guys know it. But them, her dating alter ego, Cat, starts having conversations with Reid, the kind she's never had with him in real life, and he starts...

Dorothy: You cannot exaggerate the psychic blow from the death of a parent. Add in the surviving parent's mental shut-down, and the sudden responsibility of helping raise a younger sibling, and the heroine, Millie, as a teenage daughter and sister is running on autopilot through major adolescent milestones: how to make friends, how to share and cope, learning social cues. Quiet and studious, Millie may not have had a lot of emotional equipment to manage social situations even before her mother dies. When we meet Millie, she is 29, a college teacher of criminology who specializes in female serial killers. Morbid and unusual, her academic focus gives Millie time to study women who are more damaged than she is (her own ironic explanation). By the time we meet Millie's dad, ready to point the finger at his neglectful leadership of the family, at his poor management of Millie's mental health, he is slipping rapidly to the effects of Parkinson's Disease, so blaming him is not an option. Millie soldiers on through her life in sunny Santa Barbara with good humor and big emotional walls: she does not want to share and risk topics that might bring the group down, or invite questions about her...

Randy Ransom: I could not put it down! My favorites parts were hands down the back and forth IRL messaging and witty banter. In this book you will find all the “things” that make a Rom-Com memorable long after the book is closed. The characters in MFHNS were lovable, hilarious, relatable and worth the emotional investment. Well done!
