Kindle Customer: I love this thing. My gaming laptop was ruined in an apartment flood and all I have available is a Google Pixel Slate... which only has 2x Type C USB ports. This hub is perfect for my gaming setup. I have a wireless MSI controller (USB dongle), wireless gaming headset (USB dongle), wireless keyboard (USB dongle). I utilize the 3x USB 3.0 ports for those items, and I connect it all to my Smart TV using the HDMI port. Everything works FLAWLESSLY.

PS if you have a chromebook or anything running Chrome OS and you want to use it for gaming... you MUST have a wireless (either bluetooth or USB dongle) controller. Chrome OS completely messes up key mapping if you try and use a wired controller of any kind.

Rey S: I have first written a review that had a specific gripe-- the output quality of the HDMI port. I first got 480p, then wrote a review on this matter. I tried again on a different device, then the same device, and it output 1080p just like the dock that came with the Nintendo Switch, but at a smaller form factor to take anywhere! So I had to add another star because the HDMI has formidable quality! Especially for the price, this is a fine product, and like in my previous review, even if the HDMI output was low-res, there's still power delivery and three USB A 3.0 slots, so there's value in that!

TL;DR: Maybe the advice of "turning it off and on again" applies to the quality of the HDMI output for this product and not only computers.

I don't believe in giving reviews like "arrived on-time", "looks great" or "just works" etc. so I tested each and every port (USB 3.0 as well as PD) thoroughly using USB meter and software apps like CrystalDiskMark (for USB 3.0 I/O speeds) and as you can see in the attached images here are the results,
1. all three USB ports indeed gave me USB 3.0 speeds (close to 117 MBps which is 936 Mbps) through CrystalDiskMark app (some products falsely claim to be USB 3.0 ports but turn out to be only USB 2.0 speeds) so I am happy about these guys being honest.
2. I also tested the USB-C PD port by connecting my laptop charger to this port and connecting this hub to my laptop's charging port (via USB-C meter just to be sure) and everything worked as expected, even the USB-C meter shows proper 19.5 V power passing through so yes, this is indeed a PD port !
3. HDMI port did give me 4K resolution as you can see in the last pic. Windows detected 3840 x 2160 (which is 4K) when I connected my 4K monitor via this Hub's HDMI port.

NicoNico: I wanted a powered USB-C hub with an HDMI adapter so I could use a Samsung s10 to display and play games on TV with no lag. For that purpose, it seems to work perfectly. I can simultaneously charge my phone, access games from a USB, use a wired USB controller, and connect to a TV through HDMI. I think I'd read conflicting reviews, but it works for me. It needs to be powered to utilize the HDMI though, at least for the Samsung devices that are using DEX program. Make sure your phone is capable of displaying HDMI from the USB-C port before you buy anything.

What didn't work -
I couldn't use the hub at all with my Amazon Fire HD 8. Attaching it set off the "moisture in the port" warning that I'm sure you've had to deal with if you got one of those devices. I use the tablet while I'm in the bath with no problems, but it is very fickle about what you're allowed to connect to it.

Good peripheral, solidly built, and does most of what I want it to do. It's a bit heavier than my other hubs, and the cable is fairly short, so just be mindful that you're not putting too much stress on your USB-C port.
