The Chefman Die-Cast Electric Deli & Food Slicer is the perfect kitchen companion for slicing meats, cheeses, bread, fruits, and vegetables. With its adjustable slice thickness and stainless steel blade, this slicer is designed for easy and precise slicing. Plus, its non-slip feet and easy-to-clean design make it ideal for home use. This slicer is ranked as one of the best electric knives and slicers based on its easy to maintain and use design, longevity, and build quality. The built-in adjustable thickness dial allows for customizing slices to your desired thickness.paul: Slicer is very easy to setup and disassemble for cleaning. The blade is very capable of slicing your meat of choice, I used mine for slicing roasts/steak for turning into jerky and never had a single problem. I do recommend keeping something like toothpicks handy because there are a couple small spots that are recessed and little bits of meat or fat can get into them, not impossible to clean, but a lot easier with said item. Overall I would recommend to anyone looking for something easy to use for personal use.

Constantine2001: I purchases this to thinly slice lunchmeat. It works okay if you are only slicing a few pounds of chilled lunchmeat occasionally for personal use. It's definitely not intended for large batches. The gauge worked okay for thin "ish" slices; not as thin as deli slices, but better than trying to cut by hand. The motor is LOUD, and cannot handle going very fast. As with other reviewers, I experienced the initial burnt lubricant smell and had to clean lubricant out of the screw wells.
The blade removes easily for washing, but there are a lot of nooks and crannies for bits of meat and fat to slide into. Also, this does not provide precision control of slicing thickness (the guard is very flimsy and bends easily if you press too hard on the meat product you are slicing).
Bottom line is: This is intended for occasional, residential and/or small-batch use. All-in-all, this is an okay slicer if you just need a pound or so of thinly sliced meat and works about as well as any of the other meat slicers in this price range.

MoBo: My last food slicer lasted well over 30 years. This one, hopefully, will last just as long. Easy to use, easy to adjust for just the right thickness of slices. Even with my meat mostly frozen, the slicer had no problem getting through the meat.
If you're considering a meat slicer, this is one to look at. The only sticking point was the ease of cleaning. More of the machine should be easy to disassemble so the user can get every little bit of meat out of the housing.

Amazon Customer: Cute, compact. The blade is fairly dull and you have to push hard on the blade to get a clean cut. Shreds meat and bread because of this. Hard to clean in all of the crevasses.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Not sure if other product in the Same price range works the same but this one is not worth your money. First of all the suction power on the legs don’t work, I’ve used 6 times to cut salamis, the whole machine moves with the cutting motion. I’ve tried to wet the suction cups, the table, keep them dry, nothing does the trick. So whenever I need to use it I’ll need an extra pair of hands to hold it still otherwise it’s unsafe and annoying to use. Second of all I was just using it and a plastic piece fell off from the machine. Like in the photo. The piece flow out from somewhere on the machine, got caught on the blade and cut it in half. One side of the piece has glue like residue on it and I couldn’t find where it broke off so I guess it’s a stick-on decorative piece. I have nothing plasticky around me so couldn’t have been from anywhere else not to mention I saw it fell out from the machine. Third design flaw is the flimsy board that sets the thickness. This piece is extremely flimsy that it bends slightly when you are cutting so you won’t get even pieces, not with any meat product at least. Luckily I’m not picky about evenness so I’m still using it but if you...

B. C. Roberts: I’m fairly impressed with the quality and functionality. I wasn’t expecting a lot for the price, but was pleasantly surprised. Built well, easy to use, does the job! Makes slicing jerky approximately 342% easier. Cleanup is easy; not sure what other reviews were complaint about. Blade comes off easily and the rest just wipes down with some cleaner spray. Takes 30 seconds. Only minor complaints which I deducted a star for. The thickness gauge is useless. There’s a lot of backlash and the marks are not repeatable. I suggest using a tape measure to set the thickness. Second, the travel on the tray (IE size of object that can be cut) is limited to about 6-7”. I was not able to cut a full London broil lengthwise and had to cut it in half to slice it. Lastly, the mfg should really offer replacement blades on Amazon. I can see that the blade will be impossible to sharpen and I would have just bought another one from the start if they were available. That being said, the blade is good quality and practically speaking, it will be a long time before it needs replacing.

Amazon Customer: I used the device to slice ham and bologna The device is much noisier than I expected. The on/off switch is under the slide tray ont eh main body and takes some getting used to finding. Practise will hop but , in an emergency , it could be a problem. The top of the panel that stops the stock from sliding off the slicing tray is not strong enough to stay stiff when placing a large enough force against the stock to maintain a slicing width, consequently need to stop frequently to reposition the stock and then start cutting again.

JJones: I bought this food slicer to replace one I had purchased earlier that was a PAIN to deal with. This one is great! Large enough to hold bulky foods and slices them to perfection!
