Ceihoit DVD Player for TV with HDMI, AV, and USB Outputs

Dr K.Dr K.: We really like this neat little dvd player. It comes with all you need to plug and play. We’ve watched old movies, e.g. 1979 Escape from Alcatraz, and the picture and sound quality are pretty good. (The picture was improved by using an upgraded HDMI cable that we already had.) The remote control is simple and easy to use. The dvd player is really compact. We are looking forward to using it with our projector as it is so easy to move about, unlike our 4k player. We listen to CDs too and the sound is good. Our daughter has her eye on it as she doesn’t have enough room for a normal size player. Overall we are very pleased. For the price, you can’t go wrong!

P. SchwartzP. Schwartz: I loved the small footprint and the ease of connection. All the cables you need to connect are included. The remote is also nice and small and functions very nicely.

Best of all was the picture quality. While this is a very small, reletively inexpensive DVD Player, it is big on picture quality. Sorry my lighting caused a hotspot on my screen, but the picture quality compared favorably to my older, very expensive DVD Player, so I highly recommend this unit for its high quality and its low price.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Having had this Dvd player for a fairly short while I am glad that I chose this one; it is very easy to set up,ie, one lead for power and one to the tv(hdmi or av, both supplied). The User Manual is very easy to understand and the whole thing is simple to operate. My photo shows how it tucks away (on the left in this case)under a 32'' telly, and also shows the perfect picture it gives from a downloaded film on a memory stick. I've played films from dvds and photos from a stick. Everything is done from the remote which has lots of features(but you will have to supply two AAA batteries). I contacted customer support to ask about a video format and they were extremely helpful. I thoroughly recommend this little guy to anyone wanting to buy a DVD player.

Frank LukeFrank Luke: Believe it or not, there are actually still people who own and play DVDs. I gifted this DVD player to an old friend of mine who’s happily using it in his RV now. I hooked it up for him and appreciated how plug-and-play easy to connect it was. Plus, it is super compact and travel-friendly, offers great picture quality, and is region-free on top of that. Small in size but pretty big in features, and it comes with all the necessary accessories too. So for the bargain price this little machine cost, I am certainly glad I was able to make someone happy!

Ian: OK, So yes, DVD's are older technology in the age of Streaming services like Netflix and Prime.

However for those of us that over time have acquired a massive DVD collection and don't want to get rid ( I learnt my lesson with vinyl records) this is ideal.

So what’s in the Box:
The DVD player – its very compact, which is definitely a good thing. It does what it says on the tin. The sound and picture are good. Menus are easy to navigate.

It plays DVDs as well as videos (in MPEG, MPG, VOB, AVI, MP4, MOV, SWF,3GP format) Audio files (in WP2 and 3, WPA and OGG files) and pictures (by JPG, GIF and TIF) via a memory card. I had a quick look at this feature but due to time constraints I had a few issues. I would have scored higher if it could have played other video formats.

RGB cables to attach to older TVs.

HDMI cable to attached to newer TVs.

Basic simple and easy to use remote control.

DarrenDarren: What a fantastic little player. Very pleased with the excellent 1080p upscaling that was really noticeable and a great improvement. The zoom feature and slow down feature is also a great tool. I didn't even take the instructions out of the plastic bag, just plugged it in and away it went (after setting to 1080p with the remote control).

All the leads where included to set up and go, Including a USB 3 pin Plug for power a HDMI 1.5m cable also a 3ft RCA Cable. Connected to a Panasonic 4k UHD TV and a 1080p projector. great picture quality on both purchased DVDs and USB digital photos. I cant fault this item.

Small enough to fit on my mantle piece 7.3 x 6 x 1.7in (not facing me due to cable connections see pics) Remote control reaches around 13 feet before becoming intermittant.

I have a great number of DVD's that I intended to crossover to bluray versions but some are still fairly expensive, now I dont feel the need to. In fact since buying this DVD player I have purchased several boxsets, and dozens of disney DVD's for the grandkids not having to worry about the region DVD's where made (using charity shops and ebay, which before I would never have...

R. Neuman: I was simply looking for a CD player that could attach via RCA cables to my newer sound system ( either attach to my receiver, or active speakers ). I am tired of battling to connect to blue tooth via a 'certain' OS - which I think doesn't do blue-tooth well. Good quality and sound for the money. Simple to use. Remote is small, but works well.

Dana Williams: I am 70 years old, and most of my audio/video components are not exactly cutting edge. They served me well until I purchased a DVD of a live performance from a London based company. When I received the disc, it would not play on my system. The folks I purchased it from were helpful and offered to refund my purchase price. I decided it was time to have a player that was able to play discs from other countries. That’s what led me to the Celhoit player. I was reluctant to spend a lot of money on something that I would likely not use often. The price point for the Celhoit player seemed worth the gamble, and the gamble payed off.

The player was easy to connect, and it did exactly what it promised to do. Picture quality was excellent, and the remote was easy to use. I really couldn’t be happier with it.

Strubbi: Ich habe bereits ein großes Kombigerät, welches VHS und DVD abspielen und aufnehmen kann.
DVDs abspielen klappt zwar, ist aber trotzdem etwas umständlich. Zudem ist dort ein Laufgeräusch zu hören

Als ich dieses Gerät hier gesehen habe, dachte ich, bestellst mal ...um den Preis machst Du nix falsch.
Das Gerät ist sozusagen federleicht. Angeschlossen habe ich es durch das HDMI Kabel am Fernseher und am Gerät selbst. Die anderen, runden Kabel, wurden von mir nicht benötigt.

Es funktioniert einwandfrei.
Meine SELBST AUFGENOMMENEN DVDs, die fast alle noch in SD Qualität sind, kommen logischerweise nicht total scharf raus, es ist ungefähr so, wie früher beim Abspielen von VHS. Aber ich bin froh, dass ich die Filme überhaupt wieder sehen kann.!

Bei den GEKAUFTEN DVDs ist das Bild allerdings besser, aber auch da ist es, logischerweise, abhängig, ob es noch eine DVD in SD, oder HD Qualität ist.

Bei mir wird die DVD ohne irgendein Laufgeräusch abgespielt, was, im Gegensatz zu meinem alten Kombigerät, einfach nur toll ist, weil nichts stört.

Zum Bedienen benutze ich nur die Fernbedienung.
Will man das Gerät jedoch per Hand...
