Sunsinger: This is an excellent book for people who want to learn why carbohydrate counting is necessary to keep you from being diagnosed as Pre-diabetic, or diabetic. I’m pre-diabetic and I’ve kept my numbers in a good range (A1C). I’ve learned what is a serving, and how many servings I can have to keep me at my best health. This is a life long process of loving myself enough to care about what I put in my body. Once you commit yourself to learning what is your daily requirement and portion control, you will not need this book, but can make better choices and still have cake, just not everyday.
