The prior two unit failed after six months because the flashing light on the dispenser stopped working, so you could no longer tell if the unit was filtering properly. I owned a Brita faucet filter more than 20yrs ago and for whatever reason stopped using it, my current water smells either like a chlorinated pool or a musty gym sock, silverware left sitting in dishwater seems to shed metal as the water darkened, not anymore! Susan Gayle: I purchased this for my bathroom sink, but couldn't install it with the faucet I have, so I put it in my kitchen. It was easy to install there, as the faucet had the right threads that this product needed. It works great - you can choose to filter the water (comes out in a thin stream) or not and use the regular water (stream is much faster and normal flow). I also have a Brita tank, so I love that now I can double filter my drinking water and the taste is much better and cleaner/fresher. I also use this for my tea and coffee and the taste is improved. I wish I could find a water filter for my bathroom sink, because my water there has a bad smell. This filter requires your faucet to have threads to screw into. However, if it fits your faucet, it's great.

Tanya: I bought this exact model in Jan 2022 and the light indicator has stop working, so I came to buy another one and the price has doubled. It was $29.56 a year ago and yes it’s this model has the 3 settings, filter water, spray and stream. Crazy

CC: REVISED OCT/31/2022: Undoubtedly, Brita's customer support is top notch. I've just got off the phone with Brita customer support agent lady - the filter replacement indicator stopped working. First and most, she immeddiately apologized, and also immediately, she arranged shipping of a replacement. She did so even when I purchased the product over one year ago (June/2021). Wow :) REVISED DEC/13/2021. I changed to 4 Stars from 1 Star. I've just got off the phone with BRITA customer service agent lady about the issue with the replacement indicator. She arranged shipping of a replacement "immediately." This call was probably the easiest and shortest call ever that I've made to customer service complaining about defective products. I said, the Led Indicator stopped working and that I purchased it from Amazon in this May. The agent simply stated that they would send me a replacement, then asked me my name and address. Despite the said 5-Star customer service experience, I deducted 1 Star because I'm concerned if the LED light of the replacement would not stop working in 5 months.

MFR: I've used Brita filter systems for years, decades, from pour jugs to containers with an on/off spout to the on-tap systems. Out of all of them, I prefer this on-tap filter, because you don't have to keep filling anything, and waiting for it to filter (maybe I'm lazy, but the jug would need to be filled several times a day, and the on/off spout container that used to sit in my fridge was much larger but still needed to be filled every day or two but was far more awkward to remove and fill, and had took longer to wait for the water to go through).
As I see it, the only reasons someone would NOT chose the on-tap system over any other Brita filter option are:
- It is just too unsightly to live with on the kitchen (or other) faucet;
- It doesn't fit your particular kitchen faucet (it seems to fit any common spout);
- You have a fancy shape/style faucet, or pull-out or flexible faucet (commercial style) that you can't really attach anything to.
Other than that, this is the best choice. They also recently extended the recommended usage life of the filters from 3 months to 4 months, but for me, I always double that and have never had any issues or noticed any...

As someone who hates to drink tap water that hasn’t been put through a filter, this product is pretty much the dream for me. Having access to filtered water at all times has been amazing, and so far I’ve been very impressed with this water filter. Installing it was easy, it comes with a variety of parts to allow you to attach it to almost any kind of faucet. For me personally, it took less than 5 minutes, just a little twisting and tightening and then I was done.
The filter itself has three settings. The first is a unfiltered spray, just letting the water flow right through without anything in the way. This mode tends to be a little messy, but provides you with a lot of water very fast. The second mode is also unfiltered, but is a bit neater and is more controlled for a more even flow. The third mode is the filtered one, and it’s much finer and slower than the other two. A small light will flash when this mode is active, so you know it’s working, and the water will clearly come out of a section of the filter system that is...
