ZoeM23: This lamp is perfection!! Great, soothing, yet bright, light. Looks like an expensive brass lamp, minus the hefty price tag. Love the touch on/off switch, and the three light levels. I literally cannot think of one thing I dislike about it. Looks perfect next to our champagne colored couch in the office!

ts: I read some reviews about the lamp a little unsteady on carpet. I have a large area rug and it is very steady. It is well made and love the dimmable light. Its perfect. I have difficult vision at night and this really helps with reading, etc. I also want to say that I had another light by Brightech and was wonderful, so I knew this lamp would be the same quality.

Christine SChristine S: I have had this lamp for a few months ago and I am really happy with it. I needed it for an area of my (small condo) living room where I needed more lighting, but do not have much space or room (and I needed a floor lamp here). I like that this light is directional as I didn't need or want lighting emanating all over the room, given it is near the TV and I have brighter lights next to the sofa opposite). I also like that you can swivel the arm as well as the piece covering the bulb if you need to shift the direction. The other thing I really like is that you just tap the top to dim it or turn on and off (very convenient to quickly turn on and off). If there was one improvement I would suggest is that the cord would come out from under the base (the way it's designed it comes out of the bottom of the pole that screws into the base, so it lies across the base). But otherwise, just perfect!

Roy Lightfoot: I suffer from poor vision and need to have a good backlight for reading, something that I can position directly overhead but without being intrusive. This fits the bill.
Only downside it that it comes with a U.S. 2 pin plug, I had to find an adaptor, after that 'magic'. Delighted.
