mark: Works great however The safety switch does not work as either position allows the knife to operate. Not a problem for me but with kids around and plugged in it could be a problem.

Sue: I actually bought this for cutting cushion foam, as JoAnn Fabrics would only cut the length I needed and not the rest of the shape. It cuts well, but is hard to hold straight so that the cut you make is even on all sides. I'd think this would the the same issue when slicing bread, meat, etc. I do like the little safety switch.
