writeZoe: I didn't know what to think of these knives before I bought this one. They don't really look sharp. This one is sharp, cuts right through a roast. What I'm most impressed with is that it is long enough so that it cuts through the whole roast at one time. I'm happy I bought it.

Nathan Franson: I smoke a lot of meat as a home cook and needed a much better knife. I bought this one since it was less expensive than others, but cautious that it may not be the best. Needless to say, it is amazing. It slices through brisket like butter. Excited to try it on ribs. Glad I bought it and happy to recommend it. Only downside is it was made in China (didn't realize it until after I received it). Wish I could find one comparable to support American made.

S.Iverson: I was on the fence with some of the reviews calling this knife worthless as the blade stains and it gets dull after 1 or 2 uses. Well I went with the majority of reviews and have been extremely happy !

I think it all comes down to proper knife care and that some people just don't know how to care for them, just expecting it to cut and stay pretty while being tossed in the sink for days at a time.

Simple rules that we follow and in the 7 months of owning, it is still perfectly sharp and no stains on the blade. Below is my common sense secret.

Wash it right away after use before you do anything else... hand wash and dry with regular dish soap.
Set aside and go enjoy your meal.
Before you put it away run it 10 times through a hand held ceramic knife sharpener with light pressure.
Lightly wash and dry again, place in box and let it await it's next time to slice through a brisket, ham, pot roast, etc like BUTTAH !

I expect many good years out of this knife because I take that few extra minutes to take care of my investment.

Larry Andrews: Surprisingly sharp. Bought specifically to use with cooks from my smoker. Slices effortlessly through pork roast and ribs. Quality seems very good. Nice solid handle. Even comes with a very nice box to store it in. Haven’t had it too long so it’s difficult to know how long it stays so sharp. I will update that info at a later date once I’ve used it a lot. So far I’m extremely happy with it.

Knife Knut: Would have preferred a higher grade steel but for the price I can accept that I will have to sharpen it more often. Design is good.
