Richard Miller: It turns off the heater after two hours, no more burnt coffee. The pot was broken when I received it. I filled out the warranty info online and then called customer service. I received a new pot the next day. Great customer service!

Barb M: I will freely admit that I had more than a few reservations when I clicked on the 'purchase' button for this coffee maker. Now, having said that, I have been using this coffee maker for several months, and I am happy with it. The only issue I have had with it is that there is a hole in the water reservoir up towards the top of the reservoir that I don't understand why it is there. When filling the reservoir, it will cause water to leak out if you overfill. Other than that, this coffee maker is a perfectly fine functional coffee maker that brews 12 cups of coffee in a very short amount of time, and that coffee is damn tasty! Setting up the coffee maker for the next morning is also very easy, and there is no muss or fuss as long as you remember that hole in the reservoir. If I had any complaints regarding this coffee maker, aside from the hole in the reservoir, it would be that I have to buy paper filters for the filter basket instead of it coming with a permanent filter. I will also freely admit that both of those issues are pretty nitpicky.

Mark McgrathMark Mcgrath: I bought this black and decker coffee maker because I’ve always had b&d coffee makers and had zero problems with them lasting for years. I currently have one at home that I love, however I purchased this one for our trailer and the first time I used it was disastrous. The basket doesn’t line up with the carafe. Every time you insert the carafe, it pushes the drain from the basket off to the side. And every time you insert the carafe first then install the basket nice and straight so everything lines up, when you close the lid it bumps the basket and the drain on the basket doesn’t line up with the carafe and coffee goes everywhere. The only way to use it is to install the basket and carafe then reach in and manually line up the drain with the carafe. I do love b&d coffee makers … but not this model.

The Bionic Man: This is my second one was about to order a black one again mine was still working perfectly just the element was kinda worn it’s under my counter just in case but saw a white one in warehouse deals and it works perfectly too just basic functions but the program timer never fails to brew the coffee and I prefer a digital readout as LEDs seem to burn out faster in fact I’ve never seen a digital readout fail

Amazon Customer: .....for the price. I like everything about it, especially that the coffee is very hot. However, not all the water runs through the pot and lingers around the coffee basket, causing all sorts of dripping, which is why it doesn’t get a 5 star rating.

Mo H.: I loved this coffee pot as soon as I unboxed it. It was simple, yet elegant. I had always wanted to use the programmable features of being able to set up a time of when my coffee could be brewed in the morning without me, but I always got frustrated over all the buttons needed to press in order to set a simple time. I would get discouraged and instead of messing with it, I would just decide to turn my pot on as soon as I woke up. When I purchased this one I looked for 5 simple things.
1. Was the coffee hot enough when it was brewed.
2. When poured, did the coffee spill all over the place
3. Did it have a clock and did have a programmable feature
4. Was it reliable and sturdy
5. Was the price right
After reading almost 90% of the comments, I decided to take a chance on this one. I will tell you, the coffee in my WHITE (I'm not sure about the black) coffee pot comes out extremely hot and I love my coffee to the point of burning. I add a significant amount of creamer and if my coffee is warm, my creamer will make it luke warm and by then, I no longer want to drink it.
