NOLAfan1: I purchased a Dyson V8 pet/animal Stick vacuum many years ago but had increasingly used it less because the battery wouldn't keep a charge long enough for me to complete all my vacuuming in one go. I have another upright vacuum that I love, and it works great, but it's a plug-in cord and having a battery stick vacuum ready to go is so convenient.

Finally decided to take a chance and order a generic battery replacement. Have only been using it for a week or so, but The battery power is wonderful so far and the length of time that I have to use the vacuum before the battery dies is like it was when the vacuum was new.

Glad I finally decided to get the battery replacement. Hope that manages to maintain a charge well. I used to keep the original Dyson battery plugged in almost all the time, but I won't do that with this one. So many people warn about either overheating or overcharging batteries so I will try to take better care of this new replacement one.

Mary Sandrock: I purchased this to replace the battery for my Shark. It was easy to install. It works well and fits into the charger easily. I have only had it for a month so longevity cannot be rated, but I have been happy with the purchase.

W......P: Correct replacement for v7
The thing is it doesn’t last through two small rooms of carpet. It’s not worth the money. If it were still return period I would have returned it, but I’m stuck with it now. Not recommended for purchase at all.

DMS: Easy install. Works great. Dyson V7. As far as I can tell, it is exactly like the original except for these two things: 1. The battery now lasts much longer - even longer than when the vacuum was brand new. 2. I noticed the battery connection to the charger is a bit tight. I don't notice any difference when I hang up the vacuum on the charger, but then when I remove the vacuum from the charger, I noticed that it sticks a bit and I need to pull a bit harder to disconnect it.

UPDATE 4/30/2023: After 2.5 years of use, we're starting to notice that the battery isn't lasting as long now. Starting to think about buying another one now. Still 5 stars!
