It keeps water so hot instantly that I had to turn it down because it was scalding hot. it comes from a well where the water is never warmer than 40 degrees and travels through a regular garden hose.

D O.D O.:
This unit is small and produces plenty of very hot water in our warm climate (Mexico). It looks good and doesn't take up much space.
I do NOT recommend using the included fittings, a filter and a temperature valve. Both fittings are inferior products and are prone to leaks.
Customer service is very attentive and helpful. I damaged a part of the heater while trying to get one of their fitting to stop leaking and customer service had me order a new heater and gave me a full refund.
I would buy this product again.

Steve Maring: The LP water heater in my RV went out. Since I don't boondock with it, and I have a 50 amp panel, I figured I would give this one a try. I was relieved to see in the description that the water connections were 1/2" NPT. Well, it turns out that is a lie. NPT (National Pipe Thread), also sometimes called IP (Iron Pipe) is tapered. These are not tapered. They are straight. A 1/2" NPS (National Pipe Straight) connection, more often just called a "compression fitting" in the states works. These are the connections typically found on shower and faucet hoses. The European counterpart, and used in most of the world, is the BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel), sometimes just referred to as "G", presumably short for Great Britain. Both the 1/2" NPS and G 1/2" (BSPP) have a 14 thread per inch threading and use a washer to create a seal. While not compatible from a purist standpoint I believe they will fit together despite some other differences. I was able to re-use some 1/2" NPS compression to 1/2" barb fittings from my old unit to connect to pex. I looked pretty hard in the typical big box stores in the states and couldn't find these same adapters...

Updates on November 19, 2023 - Seventeen (17) months later I'm glad I was home when this water heater decided to go up in flames! Had I not been here it would have burned my house down! I had to extinguish the fire!!
This isn't cool at all and I will be seeking legal advice in the morning. I could have very easily lost everything I have!! As it stands now I have over $1000 in repairs because of this unit!!! You will be hearing from me.
Original review -
I have tried several of these water heaters. This is the only one that will get the water hot to my shower.
My input water temp is a solid 56F from my well.
Using this water heater (7kw) and without flow restriction in the showerhead the temp would reach 120F. With a 2.5 gpm flow restrictor in the showerhead the temp reaches the max of 131F. The water temp at the showerhead is consistent with no fluctuation at all. With other water heaters I would get changes in water temp as my well pump cycled on or off - that does not happen with this one! The package included an input flow restrictor valve. I did install this but have it set to wide open full flow.
I am very very pleased with...

muckamuck: Other reviewers said the wires are not color coded correctly and I agree but I tested the wires with the ohm meter and found the 2 hot wires gave a resistance of about 2mho? The other tested pairs of wires had infinite resistance and thats good. Strangely, the ground wire did not seem to be connected to the pipe fittings. I used a ELEGRP NEMA L6-30P Locking Plug, and plugged it into my 240v outlet. The pipe fittings: one reviewer said they were strange british threads, but on my unit the silver metal fawcet connectors with the rubber washer inside threaded right on to the unit with no problem, but you may need to use longer hoses than typical...its a tight fit under my sink. There is a picture but no instructions on the filter? and the temperature valve?...I screwed them both on as per picture and they were OK. Nothing much in the way of other instructions...I plugged it in and pushed on button and it showed 104F I increased + to 106 and it seems to work fine. When not running water it says --F, which means there is no heat going to the fawcet.
