Grampa: I had a Baldr unit for years. It finally started giving me false readings. I replaced the batteries and it still was reading wrong.
Got the new unit and it works perfectly.

Has everything I want displayed, such as indoor/outdoor temperature, date & time, and current weather outlook. They also provide outstanding customer service! I had a small issue with my unit after the warranty had passed, but Sarah L. with Baldr support, quickly resolved my issue! Thanks again Sarah!! I highly recommend this item!

ste5em: This product suffers from the "Made in China" syndrome. It looks like a product that would work, but doesn't. I first noticed that the battery compartment for the sensor is too large to hold standard AAA batteries firmly. Also, the springs that hold the negative base of the batteries are stretched so far that they have no tension in them. The result is that the batteries can "slosh" around in the sensor case so that the slightest movement of the sensor will dislodge one or both of the batteries. Since the sensor is the real business component of this product, I could see fighting with this product endlessly. The other problem is that the instruction manual is written in Pidgin English. Even if you can figure it out, the set up doesn't work as described. If you've had experience with other similar digital set ups maybe you can make this work, but I figured if it didn't work from the get-go it wasn't going to work in a week, so I sent it back immediately. I'm going to do far more research on the next one I order, with a high degree o f skepticism.
