Kareen B.: Ordered bulb for our aquarium. Bulb was packaged and boxed well, however, bulb was defective upon receipt. There was something loose inside the bulb. And when installed into tank hood, it flickered continuously and then one end of bulb discolored and stopped working all together, within 10 minutes of installing it. Requested a replacement item be sent. Replacement item was sent in good time. However upon receiving the 2nd bulb, it too was defective, just like the first one. I requested a refund all together and decided to order the same product from another Seller. Crossing my fingers and toes that this 3rd time gets us bulbs that are in good working order.

Jordan: Works just as i had intended it would it came in good secure and proper packaging bulb was in original packaging wrapped and taped in bubble wrap securely and then put into another amazon box i was worried about ordering a light bulb through amazon but I would order another one if I needed

Diane Carr: DON'T BUY THIS ONLINE!

Mine arrived looking fine, but it was not working from day 1. At first it did nothing when installed and turned on. Then it flickered for a bit. Then it went completely out. After that it came on but not as strong as it should, but enough to suffice. Two days later it has gone off and seems to be completely dead. I am not pleased. Had they put a fragile and breakable sticker on the tube box it was mailed in perhaps it would have arrived in working order.

BBQ Corn Chips: The Aqueon Full Spectrum Daylight T8 Fluorescent lamps are good. Occasionally, you may get some that flicker or phase in brightness. But, that occurs with any brand of lighting. The price is actually very good on Amazon for these lamps compared to the local fish store or at other sites. I do not know which company makes the lamps and package them for Aqueon, but they work fine and last a decent amount of time. Construction looks solid, and they are brand new clean.

I recommend these fluorescent lamps because the price is very good on Amazon. You can use no-name brands or another brand of lamp that is comparable. No-name brand lamps you never know what you get. But, buying a brand lamp offers some assurance that it is not garbage you are buying. If you get a very good price on a name brand product, that is when you should buy them. The Aqueon brand fluorescent lamps always look super white and clean right out of the package. They are $5.99 each on Amazon at time of reviewing.

If you have Amazon Prime, the 2-day Free shipping is a huge plus.

Well, my advice is when ording, if you have two or more bulbs in you aquarium oe two or more aquariums, ORDER A COMPLETE CHANGE OF ALL THE BULBS or order spares at the same time you order the originals so that you will have a few spares on hand for when they go out.......
