James Davis: I got two monitors for a home office setup, along with a mouse and keyboard and a headset, all of which needed to be plugged in. This was the perfect solution! I was skeptical that it would be able to output the described quality, but it is able to support both of my 2K monitors no problem! This is fast, reliable, portable, and cheap for the value it provides! I couldn't ask for better! I'd recommend this product, and this brand, to anyone!

Michael Koeppen: I bought this as i recently starting working from home and wanted a set up similar to what i have while at work. This worked perfectly, it powers both the monitors, allows me to use a mouse and another usb port for anything else i might need. It is able to charge the laptop and power everything else with ease.

Jamin V.: My wife and I both work remote half the week and in office half the week. She is provided one dock for laptop and she keeps that one at work. When she is at home, she needed a way to connect her laptop to the dual monitors in her home office without having to lug around the dock back and forth from work... since the concept of a dock is to leave it on the desk and take the laptop. I got her this one because she needed a cheap dock alternative. This connects to the laptop via USBC connection, and has 2 HDMI outputs for monitors and 2 USB ports for mouse and keyboard. What is especially nice about this one is that it allows her to use both attached monitors as individual extensions of her desktop (windows based laptop). Many other monitor splitters will only duplicate the additional displays, this one (because it connects via USBC) can handle the monitors all individually. It works great, and needs no additional power, it gets power from the USBC plug. If your laptop only has 1 USBC port and needs that one to charge the laptop, you will have an issue, but if you have 2 USBC ports and one is for charging and the other for this adapter, you are good to go. Dustin Felton: Just installed two days ago. It’s currently running dual monitors, a HD webcam, keyboard, and mouse all through the Anker 553 Hub. It’s so small I almost misplaced it in my delivery. Everything was plug and play and worked after seconds of plugging in. The monitors have about a 3-5 second delay when plugging in to the C-port, but as soon as the monitors display, the webcam, monitor and keyboard work as well. It has been plug and play from my personal computer (HP) and work computer (Dell). I read comments that it gets hot but so far I have only seen it warm to the touch and not hot at all. But then again, I’m running 2 Samsung curved monitors in 1080p not 4K. So far it hasn’t skipped a beat and have functioned flawlessly. For the price and my experience thus far, it’s been a great buy.

Tech-Nerd-84: I purchased this in November 2020, when we were all working from home. It has been brilliant until this week (w/c 17th July 2023) it has died. I have not done anything different with it since purchasing it, only ever used it with two or three different work laptops during that time so I can only assume it has simply just fried and died. I am now having to purchase a new dual HDMI adapter but I won't be purchasing this one again, I am reluctant to do so because of the very short cable it has which has always proven to be my only negative to give about this product... until now of course!

I adore Anker as a brand and have dozens of their products (cables, power banks, soundcore headphones) but this is the first product to have failed on me. I know 2.5 years is a good amount of time to have for a product that cost less than £50, but there are now other brands with the equivalent or better options for the same cost and I have to opt for one of those. This one only has two USB ports, others have three, four or even five for no more than around £10-£15 more.

That said - I've run into a video oddity. When I hook up two 27" 1080p monitors at the same time, one of them tends to have little "sparklies" come and go - minor pixel defects in the picture that show up in sparkling yellow or white or purple. Swapping out monitors w/ other spares - and swapping cables around - didn't do anything either. However - It's a minor nuisance, it doesn't really even interfere with normal use.

Also important to note - This thing runs HOT if you are pushing your PD through it. I am using a min-65W Dell Vostro laptop, which means it requires at least 80W Input power (because the dock itself consumes around 15W). So I paired it up with a 96W Apple-type USB-C charger and cable, which provides more than enough power to charge battery & power the dock simultaneously.
