Lloyd: Simple, high power USB 3.0 data hub with 2 fast charging ports as well. This also doesn't include those "solution without a problem" per-port on/off switches that people are being tricked into thinking are the greatest invention since traffic lights. ;) This is also my go-to hub for high-speed data transfers using my expensive USB drives. The 60W of power is a huge bonus. Bonus: I've been using mine daily for 2 years and it's still working perfectly on all ports...now THAT is good build quality! My only complaint was the data cable bring a foot too short, but Cable Matters makes an affordable, superior quality 6' cable that works perfect, so I just used my hub's cable with an external USB 3.0 hard drive that I use for movies.

Bill D: I have anywhere between 4 and 6 external hard drives that I'm working from throughout the day and I needed a way to collect them all in one device and free up USB ports on the back of my motherboard. I've used Anker products for many many years and have never been disappointed. I purchased this option as "Used-Like New" and it's been working like a champ ever since. Makes it extremely easy with just one main connection the the PC. Also convenient when the storms roll in and I have to disconnect everything. No issues with read or write speeds since using this as sort of a middle man. Cleaned up my desk area quite a bit too. Another Anker win in my book!

Screw: I bought this to stick to the underside of my desk at the front, then routed the cable to the back of my PC. I instantly gained 7 data ports, one has the dongle for my mouse and keyboard (which would drop connection when in the back of the PC, so solved that issue), and three dongles for my Vive VR trackers, which stay in there all the time and I don't need to think about them anymore! Then there's three more slots for when I plug and unplug stuff at will. Then there's the three non-data IQ slots which are fast charging, and they've come in more useful than I thought they would for charging various things easily. Hasn't given me any issues since the day I installed it!

Joe Tairei: I needed a "final solution" for my desktop iMac, a way to plug in thumb drives, extension USB cables, card readers etc. without having to reach behind the computer. This fit the bill. It seems to drive the most power hungry peripherals, looks good, and has a generous number of sockets.

The one thing missing which caused me to remove one star is that it has no mounting holes. Most $7 AC power strips have mounting holes for screws in back, which enables you to more or less easily mount it to the wall. I needed the Anker hanging on the wall and there's no way to do that.

So I designed and 3D printed a mounting bracket that it fits into. The bracket screws into the wall and has a couple of hooks to hold the cables down as well. You can find it on Printables, if you have a printer, and in fact there are a couple of such designs; another guy's design is nicer than mine actually but I didn't see it before I made mine.

If you use your Anker with your laptop, as I suppose many people will, obviously it will just sit next to your workstation and no need to mount it. Regardless how it is positioned, it is a very good peripheral and the quality is superior to the generic...

Saravanakumar C: I had purchased this for connecting my 4 external hard disc along with my printer. Its working as expected. Earlier I had used anker powered USB hub (7 port) which I had purchased in 2015 and still working without any surprises. I am purchasing this as a upgrade. Don't have second thought to buy it if you are planned to connect multiple hdd.

Sent an enquiry regarding the product to customer service. They replied promptly and were able to answer all my questions. I have 4 non-powered 5 TB hard drives connected to the hub and it works great. Wanted to connect a 5th drive but ended up using it elsewhere. Highly recommend this product and this company!

Amazon Customer: Bought for Rs 5,600 in November 2016.
Power adapter blew as soon as I connected the device for the first time.
Bought a replacement from Nehru Place (Delhi) with same specs (12V DC 5A output) which works with the hub.
I use it to connect to my laptop (host) and run multiple devices such as audio interface, iPad, MIDI keyboard, Ableton Push, phone, etc.
I also use it as a bridge between my iPad Air (host) and my NI Komplete Audio 6 interface (noisy iRig is out!).
Can be a solution for musicians wanting to use their existing audio interface with an iPad without having to purchase an iRig.
Good product and worth the price in my opinion.
