ekimj10: Originally bought S&J edging shears with telescopic handles but found them far too heavy and worst of all very tight to open and close. Decided to take a chance on these and very pleased I did, good competetive price, very well made, cut superbly and a nice easy to handle weight. Top marks for a very well known company.

walessayno: My old set wete about 30 years old . I replaced them last year with a cheapo I bought here buy they were rubish .
These are much sharper and do a neat job around edges of my lawn

See-Mong Tan: I far prefer using these shears for a clean edge on my garden borders compared to a string trimmer. The blades are sharp, but I find that the blades loosen after about 30 or 40 minutes of edging, and I would have to tighten the nut on the pivoting joint in order to maintain a good cutting edge. I have had it for about 4 months and used it perhaps once a week, but one of the handles has already broken off. Very disappointed.

Amazon Customer: can edge the walk way standing up I spent 2 hrs edging before I got this edger now less than a hour to do the job wish I had known about this tool years ago a real time saver and no more knee pain .

Jill: We brought edging shears with us when we moved from England but over the years they had lost thier cutting edge. The Spear and Jackson replacement shears are amazingly sharp and easy to use.
