Alison: These work for my 2 year old son however a friend of his (same age) knows how to pull them off. So it's a hot or miss with some kids but definitely does the trick for us.

Violet Bunny: A friend installed these for me. However, she couldn't do it using the yellow thingies included, as they were too wide & the windowsills were in the way. So she got a $1.50 "tool" from the local hardware store which worked wonders. The locks are now on good & tight.

Zara: Bought these due to moving into a main floor apartment thinking they would work and they don't I was so disappointed 😔 but hopefully I can use them when we move to our next place in a year or so

MurphMurph: The primary reason I bought this lock set vs others was inclusion of the vertical key.
Without it.....It really didn't make sense for me to have outside allen wrench bolts showing to a potential robber. All they would need to do is go to their car (potentially), grab the correct size and come back and break in!
Thus I wanted to be able to lock the window from the Inside track...which I was able to accomplish with the Vertical Key.
If you didn't have the vertical key, the bend in the allen wrench is prohibitive to tightening down the blots.
Essentially....I bolted the outside window on it's track, facing the bolts towards the inside.
Then bolted the internally facing window on it's track facing the bolts inwards as well.
Very happy.....just concerned that the vertical key is NOT that resilient from what I can tell....so I tightended the bolts very gingerly!!
