This is my favorite bacon. It has less salt than any other bacon I eat, which makes it strangely addictive to me. It has enough salt to be tasty, but not so much as to be overwhelming. I grew up eating only natural and uncured meats, back in the 70’s when it was harder to find, so it’s nice to have so many choices available now. The last time I had cured bacon in a restaurant, it was so salty it was inedible. The uncured bacons cost more, but are nice because they have a nice smokey flavor and don’t taste like nothing but salt and the lack of carcinogenic chemicals is nice also. This is a thinner sliced bacon, which I actually prefer. My other favorite bacon is by Welshire Farms and it is really thick cut. With the thicker cut bacon, I seem to end up eating twice as many calories because a thick cut slice doesn’t seem to be anymore satisfying than a thin cut slice, but it has at least twice as many calories. Obviously thick versus thin cut is a personal preference, but I would recommend this bacon if you don’t want really thick cut bacon and if you aren’t fond of overly salty food.
