Patrick Everdell: This is the fourth tankless we've owned. The first was destroyed in a fire and we still have the other two working at family cabins. First I want to point out some fundamental pros. It is small, the size of a suitcase while a tankked heater needs a lot of space. Secondly as long as you have power you never run out of hot water. With three boys in the house we'd run out of hot water with the tank heater, not so with the tankless. The third pro takes a while to notice,, Less electricity use = smaller bill. My average monthly bill was $120. it was $90 after the tankless was installed.
The cons would be that if you lose power you have no hot water, but how often does that happen? Also are you needing hot water at the time IF it happens?
Second con is the 24& 27KW units need Three double throw 40 amp breakers. and needs feeding with 8 gauge wire. They are whole house units. No you cannot just wire it on your tank heater line. A tank heater doesn't require "INSTANT" power as it uses lower power most ALL of the time. A tankles uses a lot of power ONLY when you need hot water. Most of the time it is off.

Marc-Olivier Gemme: Très beau et bon produit. Par contre le 24 kw manque un peu de puissance. L’hiver n’est pas encore arrivé et il m’est impossible de faire remplir mon bain à plein débit d’eau chaude car l’eau est trop froide. Je dois remplir le bain avec la moitié du débit du robinet si je veux qu’il soit assez chaud. Avoir à acheter de nouveau, j’aurais choisi 32 ou 37 kw.

Sean Dunlevy: Here are the things I wish I knew before I purchased:

1. Installation cannot be summarized as easy or difficult. I am not a plumber or an electrician, but I did it on my own. The biggest factor is the location of your water heater in relation to your breaker box. I did not have the knowledge to just tap into my water line from where my breaker box was located, so I needed to place this tankless heater in the same area as the water heater I was replacing. Which was across the house. This required me to run electrical wires through the ceiling and cutting several holes in the drywall in the process.

2. I spent nearly as much money buying the necessary installation equipment as I did on the unit itself. This unit required me to purchase 3 new sets of breakers (more on this later) which were about $13 a piece (not too bad) and 3 25ft lengths of 8 gauge electrical wire. This cost over $200. You will spare most of this expense if you are installing your water heater right near your breaker box. I also needed to purchase all of the water line connections and a couple other odds and ends to be able to attach the unit to my water pipes. This was about another $100.
