ANAKINS: This bar installed in seconds onto our shower wall and I feel so safe with it. Have had NO problems with it coming loose at all. I had these in my other home as well and no problem. I see a lot of people saying they pop off. They DON'T if your surface is clean and non-porous. You cannot attach them "over" a line in a tile or on tile that is not COMPLETELY smooth. I highly recommend this company and these grab bars. I have them in the shorter length too to help me step into the shower.

MMJ: This is a wonderful thing to have in the shower. It won't support your body weight if you are falling (it isn't made to do that), but it is a great way to give you something to hold on to and steady yourself while in the shower. It literally installs in seconds. I've had my first one for many years and only just recently decided to get another, longer handle for the shower.

Animosque: I ultimately returned this item because it would not adhere to the tile. I think if you have a non-porous bathroom tile, or a smooth bathroom tile, it might work better. It did not work for the tile that we have in my Mum’s stand up shower, so it was completely ineffective.

Lori R: I can't say that I would endorse this product or suggest anyone use it. I bought this for my husband to use after his knee replacement surgery. I wanted to be extra careful in the shower because it is so easy to slip. I attached it to the side of the shower and was so happy with the length and how well it seemed to adhere to the wall. When he was ready to take a shower, I gave it a firm tug, to make sure it was firmly attached. During the shower, he lost his balance and grabbed the bar, it came off of the wall and he started to fall. Luckily, he was able to grab the smaller suction bar by the entry to the shower and it held firm. I thought this incident was my error because I hung it wrong or the connection was wither needing to be wet or dry. After several attempts under all circumstances, I found the adhesion to be unreliable. I think it is partly the length of the bar causes the force against the suction cup to be too great. The smaller bars ultimately have the support of the other suction cup because they are in close proximity to each other. If you use this, just be careful! Do not put too much weight on it and make sure to have a second or even third backup safety bar.
