It would not fire out of the box. Upon closer inspection, I found that the piston bumper seemed to be twisted out of alignment with the piston. After disassembly, cleaning, lubrication and reassembly it would reliably set the first 2/3 of a stick of staples then start to jam or fail to set. After about 500 or 600 staples it ceased firing altogether. After further disassembly, cleaning, etc., I determined the fault to be in the piston's poppet valve which is not a serviceable part. Aluminium of the type used in the construction of this unit has a scrap value of about $.90/kg making this unit worth approximately $.45 CAD.

I’m not sure what these guys are talking about with the bad reviews.
When you get it do you need to oil it properly and keep oiling it as you use it. If you don’t read the instructions and take care of it properly it’ll probably not take care of you like anything else in life.

Had a electric stapler did good. When i tried it on my golf cart... to redo seats would not go thru
This stabler does....I have a stand up compressor...never missed a beat...went straight thru the plastic...Just a great little stapler... Did great on low and high air pressure

This was purchased for re-upholstering chairs. The first 5 staples misfired and did not go where they should have; after that, the stapler did not work again. Air could be heard when the trigger was pulled, but no staples were released. I followed the directions (added oil before use, took it apart to be sure no staples were jammed, and checked the o-rings.) This stapler was returned and a different brand was purchased, which worked perfectly and the chairs were completed quickly.

I purchased this stapler to reupholster the seats on our golf cart and it worked even better than I had hoped! You will not find a better tool for the price! It made my project so much easier and I feel that the quality of the finished product far surpasses what I would have ended up with had I used a manual stapler. The tool is lightweight and it holds a large amount of staples. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an easy to use, high quality, entry level pneumatic stapler.
