Malrac: I, like a lot of the other reviewers, have a whole lot of devices that I’ve been charging via USB. But when I bought my AirPods Pro, they came with a USB-C cord and ......Uh-Oh....I have no way to charge up my brand new Airpods😬🙃. So I make a quick run to BestBuy to get an adapter! Get back home, start charging my AirPods, and realize how quick they charged. Then I Plugged one of my newly purchased cords into my iPhone XR Max and “WOW” ......it charged CONSIDERABLY quicker‼️So I came to Amazon, ordered these YooTech adapters and now I’m able to convert my USB to USB-C. Yay Me‼️

Let me tell you...it’s been one of the best “inexpensive” purchases I’ve ever made! They work great, (have had them for about 3 months), I’ve got them for my house, car, office, and one in my bag at all times‼️You can’t go wrong...and it’s gonna save you some time for sure‼️

DaedalusDaedalus: This converter is working as advertised and is also quite durable (constructed out of metal, possibly aluminium), the customer service is incredible as well as they responded to a couple of presales queries of mine almost immediately, really positive attitude.

I have benchmarked it with an SSD NVME external hard drive by connecting the USBC end of the cable to the converter and the USBA to the computer as seen in the picture attached, the read speed with that connection was 419MB/s which is pretty fast, it was almost 10 times faster than a cheapo converter that I tested before (most of them seem to have a USB2.0 controller in them and they advertise it as USB3.0). The only caveat is that the converter is little bit longer than others but that’s possibly due the USB3.0 controller and for heat dissipation, also the usbc female port is a bit shallow as seen in the picture attached.

The compatibility is great as I have also tested it with other devices and worked seamlessly (a USBC video streamer, an android phone). I don’t have an iPad Pro with a USBC connection but I am pretty sure it will work just fine and at maximum tranfer speed.

Details: Main desktop computer is a Dell XPS 8920. External USB connections are: USB-C 3.1 (rear), USB-A 3.1 (rear), USB-A 3.0 (front). The transfer speed difference between the front (3.0) and back (3.1) was negligible. I used a SEKC 256GB USB 3.1 for the test.

Test Method: The test program I use is ATTO Disk Benchmark (freeware). I tried a few different ones, and settled on this one because the result picture was relatively easy to compare to other results. When evaluating results, I mainly looked at the transfer speeds for files size 1 MB or larger. I first tested the USB drive directly into the port, then added the USB hub to see if there was any slow down. No slow down was noted.

Pros: Good fit & finish; no speed loss when USB-C connector is turned over and connected.

Cons: None.

Conclusion: I would recommend these basic USB-C to USB-A adapters.

Donavan StevensDonavan Stevens: Our household adoption of USB-C is speeding up through a lot of our handheld devices (Samsung devices mostly) but we haven't had a PC upgrade in a few years so we don't have any USB-C ports on them to utilize the straight USB-C cables that we also have. These adapters from Yootech are the perfect compromise.

The packaging upon arrival was solid yet minimal. I noticed immediately the package had more heft to it than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised that these have a little bit of weight to them and feel very hearty.

Functionality and speed was in line with USB specifications on my devices (as tested with CrystalDiskMark) with no unusual errors or issues. They work exactly as you would expect them to with no issues to speak of.

For a pack of 4 I find the reliable speed and function to be a great price and fill a niche need between technology upgrades and am happy to have them.
