DP: This does not make shaved ice like Hawaiian Ice. And, due to the metal construction (which is great), moving the blade will not make the ice more shaved. You will however get nice ice pellets for snow cones. If that's what you're looking for, this is a great unit.

Anthony Capitti: I got into making shaved ice at home because I spent a lot of money buying them at the store I purchased a snow machine first it was ok but slow and not really good if you were making a lot for multiple people. And then I saw this and for 28 dollars this machine is fast durable and I started a shaved ice business and this machine nackes 80 to 109 shaved ice cups aday with ease I live it and will by more when I expanded!!!!

Dwayne: So, my wife is from the Philippines. She knows what shaved ice should be like and she tells me that the Zeny is awesome. Its almost like snow. Plus, it had plenty of power. I am glad that we went more expensive and didn't cheap out. Highly recommended for those that want snow cones, halo halo etc etc.

Rubi de Chave: The ice crusher shaves ice finely. We enjoyed making different deserts with it. It’s very sturdy unlike the plastic ones sold in department stores. The only downside is that ice shavings scatter and spill out of the metal container/bowl it comes with. It would be great if the container was deeper. We just use a different bowl to catch the ice shavings. Other than that, it works great!
