Stephanie: Nice thermometer however, it’s hard to change between Fahrenheit and Celsius. I accidentally got it stuck on Celsius readings and haven’t figured out how to change it back to Fahrenheit. Other than that it’s been pretty reliable.

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci: I started out looking for replacement sanitary covers for an ear thermometer that I have had for some time, but discovered I could purchase this non-contact thermometer for about half what the covers would cost.

This is an excellent product. There are several things I like about it-
-Large Readout that is backlit for low light
-Great repeatability (same temperature over and over)
-Easy to take your own temperature (beep and vibration lets you know there is a measurement)
-Simple operation (push the single button and hold it up near the the forehead)

The super plus that really makes this standout is the hard plastic case that comes with the product. Not a bag or soft shell case but hard, durable, protective plastic case with a latch.

There is also a quiet mode that I probably will never use.

This only negative I would offer is that it can be challenging to change from a Celsius measurement to using a Fahrenheit measurement. That was somewhat complicated. There was a video on YouTube that helped a great deal.

Bsaint22: Since i have a medically challenged newborn, everyday temps are needed. I took a temp 3x in a row and got different temps, only slightly different though, off by a few points each time which still provides me a general idea of where his temps at. Another way i checked accuracy to see if it was good to use for my newborn was by taking a temp of 4 different people one after the other and crazily 3 out of 4 were the exact same temps down the to point and everything, the 4th person's temp was a point different. I dont really feel you can trust this thermometer for something so important like the reason i bought it for. It works quick, its easy to use but the accuracy cannot be trusted. Luckily it still provides a general idea on whether you have a fever or not. When my newborn ran a fever it did pick it up as 3 different fever temps but at least it made me aware he had a fever i just don't know if its a 101.4, 101.9 or the 102.3 it gave me when doing it 3x in a row. I guess the plus side is it still at least alerted me to him having a fever in general
