Robert Seiler: Product is easy to use, gives consistent readings, and appears to be accurate (to be sure, I'd have to compare with another, validated device).

BUT, a couple Day 1 issues: Neither product nor in-box documents described how batteries should be inserted (what polarity). I watched several YouTube videos (not provided by vendor) to figure that out. In-box documentation was hard to read (tiny font), badly translated, and unhelpful. Also, it did not provide a clear pointer to on-line documentation.

Amazon Customer: Very user friendly - foolproof, really. The readings can be a little inconsistent, so I've found if you take several and take the average that's probably the closest reading you'll get. It's not as accurate as an in mouth thermometer, but for a toddler that won't sit still for more than one second EVER, it's our best option to get a fast reading to make sure there's no fever before daycare dropoff!

James T. Zapetis: Non contact infrared thermometer / Forehead Thermometer seems to work fairly well. I have taken industry courses on Infrared Thermography for work and understand the limitations of the technology. For a very small detector unit, it provides are good fast response for typical household use without the extra need for cleaning / sterilizing a thermometer after use. Less than 3 seconds to get a reading. The documentation says it is good for a narrow band of temps for typical human skin condition (cold or fever). Please do read the the directions regarding changes that will affect the reading....better accuracy requires stable temperatures. Also the distance is 1 - 3 cm (1/4 - 1 inch) from the surface to measure. Accuracy drops significantly father away from the surface as the sensor and electronics tries to average a larger area. not as accurate as a $60,000 (USD) thermal imager, but for about $15 it is fast and convenient.

Evelyn: I own quite a few thermometers, but that is because it can sometimes be hard to find an easy to use and accurate device. My search has finally ended! I love this thermometer! There are just so many good things about it. The most obvious benefits are that it is no-touch and it only takes about 2 seconds to get a reading. These features make it worthwhile right there, but a couple other features really top it off. First, the device is dual purpose for forehead readings and object surface readings, which can be really handy around the house. Secondly, though the numbers are extremely easy to see, it also will display green, yellow, or red depending on the temperature taken. This is a quick indicator for a fever and highly appreciated. Lastly, and probably my favorite feature, the thermometer has a calibration setting! The first step in the instructions is to take your temperature with a known good device and compare the reading on this thermometer. You can then calibrate the reading accordingly. Jocelyn M. Dunnigan: I ordered this for testing temperatures of classroom students. It is easy to use once you set it up. Set up was a little tricky as the buttons referred to in the instructions did not correspond to what happened when you actually tried to use them. After a little trial and error, I was able to get all the settings to my liking. It worked well after that. One thing you have to remember because it is infra-red, you must have it in the environment you intend to take temps at for 30 minutes before using.
