Denis NDenis N: The media could not be loaded.  Most of my watches are Citizen with no batteries required due to them self charging via solar, but I do have a Bulova that is mechanical / self winding and consequently I went ahead and acquired this automatic watch winder in order to keep it in regular running order. My first realization was that this does not wind the movement up from completely depleted but only maintains it in order to keep the watch in a ready to go state. The winder operates for two minutes and then pauses for six minutes and then operated in the opposite direction and so on until you switch it of or it runs out of battery. I would suggest using the mains adapter for home use and reserve battery operation for when you're traveling.
So far this item has been faultless and, being as quiet as it is, you basically forget that it's there until you are ready to wear the watch...

AZCAMERA REVIEWS: I own many watches, one of which is a Rolex. Problem is, If I don't wear it for a couple of days and forget to wind it it stops. I also have to correct the time with it at least a couple of times of month(Rolex is known for that). So I decided to try this winder so I don't have to deal with remembering to wind it.

The box is made very well. Good solid construction. Not crazy about the PU leather look. I would prefer a natural wood looking box(maybe maple, Applewood or some kind of lacquer). But that's the least of my problems. The winder rotates for two minutes in one direction then pauses for six minutes. Then resumes rotation in the opposite direction for two minutes then pauses for six minutes. This helps in the wear and tear of my watch. FYI...mechanical watches should not be stored in the same position every time. This causes uneven wear to the gears and internal working components. So by this unit rotation & changing directions helps prevent unnecessary wear. The motor is super quiet. I don't notice when it is running, even in the dead of night. The unit can be powered by either the AC adapter(which is included) or with two 1.5V AA/LR6...

NguyeningNguyening: I've been wanting a watch winder for some time now, but most are pretty expensive and have been a long time deterrent for me. That said, this watch winder isn't the prettiest. The faux leather texture is not all that aesthetically pleasing and the fake carbon fiber weave can feel a little tacky. But this thing does what it's supposed to and that's really all that mattered to me. The winder has two power options, either using a DC adapter or batteries. The winder is only meant to keep your reserve power charged and also conserves energy by winding in 2 minute intervals with a 5 or 6 minute pause in between. It's really important to know this because I feel that a lot of reviews are complaining that it doesn't work and don't realize that it is saving power in between cycles and even states it in the manual multiple times. If you want a watch winder just to serve a utilitarian need, I totally recommend this product!

PROS:
- Affordable
- Powered by a DC adapter or with batteries
- Nice power management with spin/pause intervals
- Can remove additional padding for smaller wrist settings

CONS:
- Not that aesthetically pleasing
