GL: J'ai vraiment eu l'impression d'avoir affaire à un jouets quand j'ai déballé cet aspirateur, les instructions sont presque inexistante, les roues... mieux vaut les jeter à la poubelle que d'essayer de les faire tenir, même chose pour les accessoires. Contre tout attente, cet aspirateur m'a vraiment surpris, il a accompli sont devoir tout l'hiver et il fonctionne encore bien. Surprenant!

Jason: I have a separate shop vac in the garage, but needed something for the fireplace instead of scooping out dusty ashes with a shovel. Looked around on Amazon for a while and ended up with this one.
I chose this one because it had decent reviews, a metal hose tip, caster wheels, a top handle, and hose accessories. Assembly was simple. The wheel attachments don't use screws, you just have to push them on the bottom lip of the ash can fairly aggressively. You can also nudge the wheels around if you want to adjust their placement. You don't even have to use the wheels.
The hose is long enough since I can get very up close to my fireplace. The option of the metal hose tip or the plastic extender tips both work well. I NEVER vacuum hot or warm ashes. Always wait at least 15-20 hours. They may advertise ash vacuums as having the ability to do so, but that can lead to overheating the motor I guess?
From the start, suction was surprisingly good. I found that I had to hand pick out left over ash/wood pieces that were larger than the vacuum hose tip or else they would just get stuck at the mouth of the hose. Vacuuming around larger pieces worked well and I had no issues....
