GLIverson: It may be true that these are a bit high priced (4 stars) but, if you want to protect your expensive gauges and keep them accurate, then this is about your only way to do that. Without these covers, the gauges will most certainly be damaged over time. Unless the gauges are protected they will most certainly be bumped, dinged, and damaged, which means that we cannot do our jobs right with inaccurate indicators, right? :-) In my actual use, they quite literally fit over and around the gauge like a glove. The front edge is larger and built up a bit to extend (protrude)forward enough to give some extra protection, though not a covering of course, of the front face of the gauge. Now that I am using them, I will never go back to a good gauge set without them for protection! The soft rubber like material should last the full lifetime of the gauge set. So buy with confidence.
