Mae: Exactly as described in ad. Works perfectly. Saved me me over 2000$ . Shop told my wife she need to replace everything for the a/c system . Took a trip to have the system vacuumed out the took it apart. Faulty expansion valve. Then filled it up and good to go.
I wish it had come with a digital scale, that would have made it an ultimately complete kit.

Donald ValentineDonald Valentine: Had to replace a cracked pipe on my discharge line. It had been cracked for about 9 months, and no AC the whole time. I replaced the pipe, used this kit to pull a vacuum and recharge my AC, and a month later I still have crazy cold AC in my 2012 Ford Focus. Just make sure you YouTube search some proper videos so you do it correctly.

Brian: This kit worked well enough for me to test my A/C system for leaks and to recharge the system once it had been repaired. I do have some thoughts though.

Maybe it's just my car, but the low pressure quick disconnect (blue hose) was trickier than anticipated to attach. So much so that I almost gave up, thinking it was the defective or possibly the wrong size.

Once I got everything connected, the manifold worked well enough to complete the task of recharging the A/C system and checking refrigerant pressure to ensure correct charge. The vacuum pump worked with no issues.

I recommend getting the kit with the leak detector: The thermometer is cheap and cheezy, the type you can probably find at the dollar store. The leak detector is far more useful for diagnosis. I got the kit with the thermometer, and wound up purchasing a detector separately.

I'm honestly not completely sure I fully trust either of the quick disconnect attachments to seal fully. My leak detector went off near the high pressure connection (red hose) when performing a post-recharge pressure check on the system. Whatever leak may have existed was not enough to show pressure dropping visibly on...

A_Miller: My system had R12A in low side but wouldn’t build pressure in high side.
Lots of videos on you tube for this. Highly recommend watching a few first.
Few things I was curious about, posts on sides are only for hanging the connections off, otherwise they do nothing. But don’t store them on them or your seals will become lose.
Gauges still work when the valves are closed on the regulator. Valves only control opening to yellow tube.
My low pressure gauge needle was off manual said something about prying it over, I left it.
My system was good but test the hoses first by drawing a vacuum on them before you connect and look for leaks.
I pulled vacuum for an hour. Pump is very quiet and didn’t get overly warm. Then let it sit with the manifold valves off for an hour to make sure there were no leaks. Apparently pressure tests are more accurate but I didn’t bother.
My AC is now working getting about 50F vent temp.
