Roger B.: Finally opened it up after a week of delivery. I'm sooo lazy to get in shape. Was worried about assembly, and having to ground it. (Electricly). To my surprise, and you tube 101, it was very easy...duh! It was a workout just to haul it inside the house from the front porch. KUDOS! to Amazon delivery for hiding it behind my broken down vehicle. It came early morning. Convenience and affordable! I did my research.

Jim: When I bought this treadmill I wanted one inexpensive, without all the bells and whistles, and which was light and (relatively) portable. This product delivered all of this. I have been running daily on this for a year and a half and it still works well.
Issues:
1. Assembly is easy
2. Initially had squeaking of the belt while running, but not walking. You must have this treadmill perfectly level--I discovered by basement floor is not level. I leveled the treadmill, lubed it with silicon, and tightened the belt--and now the squeaking gone--but I had to fiddle with it for a while.
3. Minor complaint is the display for calories rolls back to zero after 1000 calories. Miles run is in a tiny box while the speed is in a huge box--I wish it were reversed, since I usually run at a constant speed, but check the miles run frequently.

I bought this for much less than the current price, and compared to the competition--you can pay a lot more than 500 or so dollars for basically the same appliance. AND it is very light--I can, with effort, move it upstairs from the basement by myself, while most full scale treadmills require two strong individuals to move. While I had some...

Amanda Cote: Decent treadmill for basic use. Priced well. The incline is very minimal which is a drawback for me. I’m 5’2” and the size works great for me. Assembly was easy. It does squeak when I run on it, but to be fair I haven’t invested if this is an easy fix or not.

The motor didn’t last three months, then I faced really indifferent and unhelpful customer service from both XTERRA and its Canadian affiliate Dyaco Canada. I would strongly recommend looking for something with better reliability or at least better customer service. The bolts affixing the motor to the frame are pretty inaccessible and most general socket wrenches probably won’t be able to remove two of them.

IF you decided to still purchase a TR150, beware. Get on top of reporting any issues and keep on customer service so that you get a timely response. Don’t expect anything except grudging assistance—likely the least amount of support necessary to avoid litigation.

The first couple of months with the treadmill were great, and if I wrote the review soon after getting it, it would have been a moderately good review. It did what I needed to do with some minor annoyances.

BASCBASC: This review is written less than a week since arrival (10/6/22). I will update later if needed. I considered treadmills between $1k & $2.5k (it was a health investment after all – and “you get what you pay for”, right?), but every time I’d decided on one, there were enough negative reviews to keep me from buying. I eventually decided to start looking at lower priced models (if it’s going to break, I’d prefer not to have so much money invested). The Xterra TR150 seemed to be the best choice for my needs, so I bought it before I could change my mind once again (you know what I’m talking about). FYI, I’m 68yo female, 5’ 3.5”, 120lbs, relatively fit but not strong.

• At around 100 lbs, weight is sufficient to imply that it’s solid, but manageable (vs 200-300 lbs I previously considered). I’d never have been able to manage one much larger.
• The smaller footprint allowed me to keep it on the main level of the house. If I’d gotten a more substantial treadmill, it would have had to have a spot in my unfinished basement. On the main level, I’m confident it will be utilized more. Like the weight, the size makes it easier to manage.

Tony: In short: Treadmill works really well when working properly. Support is terrible.

For the amount of money we paid for this treadmill we were hoping for very few hiccups and that it would just work. Wasn't quite the case.

Assembly was pretty straightforward. Parts are a little heavy so you may need assistance putting it together but I was able to do it by myself.

*Important* This treadmill requires a grounded plug. I've seen reviews with this problem, if you don't have the proper outlet this treadmill WILL NOT WORK. First of all, this treadmill has a three prong power cable. So your outlet will need to have either the three holes, or an adapter. But that's not all.
THE OUTLET CANNOT HAVE THE LITTLE BLACK AND RED BUTTONS. Some outlets have these little red and black buttons by the outlets. I believe the red button usually is labeled as "reset". If your outlet has these buttons... DO NOT BUY THIS TREADMIILL. Or any treadmill really. Because of the heavy motor, it will trip the outlet every single time! kate: Update: so it's been a few months, and it's still going strong! After about two uses, the LED screen stopped working. It would quickly just fade to black, so it was useless. Thankfully, the treadmill works just fine without it. I just use a watch to track the time, and I never trust treadmills to track calories anyways. I had contacted support for warranty and they said it'd be about 3 months for a new part to arrive, but it never came. No biggie. As I said, it works fine without. For such a cheap treadmill, it doesn't surprise me that something stopped working so quickly. I'm just glad it was the screen and not something more important.

Didn't follow delivery instructions, but that's on Purolator and not Xterra. Just figured I'd mention it, in case anyone else was relying on delivery instructions. We live in the basement and asked them to deliver to the back door (easy to access), and yet they still delivered to the front door. Being over 100lbs, it was a pain in the butt to carry through the snow just to get it to the back door.

On that note, it's HEAVY. Took two of us to get it inside and down the stairs. If you're a weakling like me, get at LEAST one other person...
