*¸.Myste.¸*: I am disabled and live in an apartment, I have a constant stream of visitors, requiring me to get up and unlock the door many times a day, so I mainly wished for a remote control lock and started searching... I already own Wyze cameras, so this was a perfect fit, and the only one I found that allowed me to keep my (the apartment's) lock and key👍also, just like the cameras, a much more affordable price tag for all the same features!
I've never changed a lock before, but even I was able to install this by using the YouTube video, and with very little problem (I had to turn it upside down as the door handle was in the way right side up, this is no problem, however, and works just fine)
I put mine on the exterior security screen door rather than the actual door, but this also works just fine👍
I'm not currently using autolock since I'm afraid of locking myself out, but I do have it paired with my Alexa, which will lock and unlock for me when asked, and contrary to some reviews, mine DOES tell me the status of my lock (I can ask "is my front door locked?" And Alexa responds "checking..." and then yes or no😁 I've also set a routine on Alexa to automatically lock it...

Josalyne H.: I watch dogs for my friends often, and I needed something where I could let them into my house remotely to drop off/pick up their dogs without handing out a bunch of keys to people. It works perfectly for that purpose. I am able to unlock my door from my work office 15km away, and I have Wyze Cams to watch the dogs, and watch my friends pick up their pooches.
My door jamb is a little janky from the people who lived there before kicking the door in for whatever reason. If the door is just closed normally, the lock gets a little stuck on the jamb and sets off the "Door Jammed" alarm, but if you apply some pressure on the door as it's locking, it locks perfectly. I can't fault the lock for my crappy door, but the alarm is annoying (especially since my roommate can't seem to figure out the "apply pressure" thing and she sets it off every time she uses the door). Again, can't fault the lock for that.
While it may work fine for my intended use, I have never been able to get the auto-unlock to work when I arrive back home. I just use the app to unlock the door from my parking spot and come in. It would be nice if the auto-lock worked so I didn't have to use the app or my...

APKAFD: So let me start this off by saying I have gone through 5 other smart lock door locks starting back from the August 2nd gen, Schlage Homekit lock, all the way to the regular keypad lock and the Wyze door lock tops them all!
Installation was a breeze! If you have installed a deadbolt before you can install this, if not wyze has a video that breaks everything down and everything you need is inside the box besides the screwdriver. Now if you are like me that came from a already smart lock like the Schlage Homekit lock then you will need to buy a new deadbolt lock kit as the wyze lock needs a regular deadbolt lock to work. (You can find a good deadbolt lock for less than $20)
Once the wyze lock is installed you plug in the little wifi dongle into an outlet. Make sure this dongle is plugged in close to the lock buy also has good wifi connection as this dongle is what's going to control the lock via a remote connection and tell it when to auto unlock when you get home. I would say most problems people have with this lock is either due to poor wifi where the dongle is located or the dongle is located to far away from the lock itself. (keep it within 10 ft of the lock if you...

Z3PHIR: At home, we have a Schlage Sense and have been praising it for a couple of years! My father recently asked about it because he is worried if he falls and unable to get up, he'd like to use a verbal command to unlock the door for the ambulance. My dad is an old fashioned kinda guy and not good with tech but since I bought him an Echo Show, I wanted to find a lock that works with Alexa and the Schlage Sense does not (unless you pay for an extremely over-priced hub on top of the overpriced lock)....no thanks. After some research, I found the Wyze Smart Lock and was surprised by the low price (immediately thought, what's wrong with it). Honestly, I am loving this lock more than the Schlage at home!
I love how the door automatically locks after 60 seconds, makes me feel better in case my father forgets to lock the door at bedtime. I have the app on my own phone which helps so I don't have to pull out my keys especially when bringing him groceries or dinners and our hands are full. Unfortunately, the geofencing feature has never worked once for us and I use geofencing at home and they always work. Last, the main reason my father wanted it was for Alexa and this feature works...

Ralphael: Update: The Wyze App must be at the home page and not at the lock setting page. For auto unlock to work, you have to exit the location radius of your home. Upon return, once you enter the location radius of home which is usually a city square block you have 10 minutes to get within range of your door. When you are within range of your door your bluetooth will tell the lock that you are there and the lock will unlock. Today I tested that out and rushed up to my apartment and lo and behold I heard my door whine and unlocked ceremoniously!!. I was surprised and delighted. To supplement my door lock, I bought the Wyze Keypad that is available in Amazon.com US with a shipping fee of 2x the price but at least I will have a keypad that is more useful to me when the lock locks me out of my apartment without a phone.
Update again: the wyze app needs location services on all the time executing in your background apps and that uses up a lot of battery. My Wyze app had been on for 3 days straight and my iPhone ask if I would re-consider. I don't know the answer to this, but perhaps turn on location services for Wyze app before you leave home and turn it back off when you are home. The wyze...

J. Hallahan: I've had this for over 2 years now and I wish I could go back in time and buy a different smart lock. When this works, it's good, but it's never great. It's CONSTANTLY jamming or just randomly deciding it isn't going to automatically lock, so you aren't ever able to trust that you can just leave your house. On more than one occasion, it just never locked and there's no feature that notifies you when it's been open, say, all night.
In addition, this will periodically just stop working. It needs to be completely removed from the app, batteries taken in and out, and recalibrated over and over and it might work. I'm now at the point where it won't recalibrate at all, so it's essentially trash. Every time I have trouble, I reach out to support and the only way to reach any sort of live help is an awful chat system. They take you through 3-5 easy steps you probably already found on google or their own web forums and then just give up.
Another word of advice - don't EVER use the automatic unlock feature. The GPS fence they use can randomly detect that you've left your house. I tried it once and immediately turned it off when the lock decided to randomly unlock my front door...
