Acronym: Packaging: +95% cardboard. Very minimal use of ocean-destined-plastic.
Components: Solid, all metal construction. Strong flat black baked-on paint will not easily chip. Unlike a few other reviews, all screws were of the correct type and strength.
Installation: Fairly easy. This is locksmithing. Some parts are small and must be carefully aligned, so hand tools are the way to go. If you strip screws by using power tools, it's your own fault.

Hunter FentonHunter Fenton: I bought this deadbolt as a replacement for a $300+ smart lock that I had been using for a couple years. My mother simply could never get the hang of the smart lock, and my wife has an aversion to technology. I broke down and reverted back to the dark ages with a simple deadbolt. This one has been working great! The installation was quick and easy. My toddler was even able to help. The deadbolt is well-made and pairs well with the squared-looking handles that Schlage sells. The lock is a little one the pricey side, but it does appear to be high-quality. If you want a simple, well-made deadbolt, this one is a great choice!
