Amazon Customer: Realmente lo hacen bien los de Wyze. Me encanta mi cámara. Yo la tengo viendo hacia afuera de la casa y por las tardes le da mucho el sol, quizá un par de horas al ocaso que en Monterrey pueden ser igual muy calurosas, pero en 5 meses de trabajar con ella no me ha dado ninguna falla. Sencilla de configurar y con una MicroSD tengo 4 días aproximadamente de historial en HD; además, algunos recortes en la nube de detección de movimientos (creo que en la versión gratuita hasta 15 días). La bocina no funciona tan bien, casi no te entienden los que escuchan la cámara, pero SÍ que funciona bien el micrófono de la cámara porque se escucha muy bien lo que se habla a través de ella (incluso a algunos metros se escuchan las conversaciones, ojo jaja). Ah, lo de la comunicación es como walkie talkie, según entiendo. La versión 3 (que solo venden directo los de Wyze) ha mejorado eso de la comunicación.

No pude actualizarla a la última versión del software (me marcó error y tuve que restaurar) pero la versión que traía funciona muy bien. No se puede ver el video en vivo más que en las apps de Android y iOS. Esto puede ser importante. Y claro, con...

This is a brand new American Wize cam v2, but shipped without its original power plug due to UK regulations. I just just added an old a UK power plug for USB cable and with the cable provided everything works perfectly. Do not fall for the Neos scam selling the exact same product for £57!

Jacob Graham: I have two Wyze Cameras, one facing inside and one facing outside, and I'm very happy with how well they work. For the price (around $20 before tax and shipping), they really provide a great value. I have friends who use more expensive smart home cameras, and some of those have better apps and image quality, but they cost hundreds more.

The image quality on these cameras is great for what I need. I have a small home with one main entrance, and this Wyze camera has a wide enough angle that I can see the front door and important windows all in one frame. The motion and sound detection alerts are very accurate, it always notifies me when it sees or hears something. For the price, the image quality is great. I have one facing outside, and it's a bit hard to read license plates (From about 30 feet away from the camera), but it is looking through a window, so I don't blame the camera. On that note, the night vision does not work through glass, so if you want to monitor outside your home at night, you have to put the camera outside, or keep your flood light on (this is true for all infrared night vision cameras, it's not Wyze's fault so I didn't take any stars...

Using this camera outside has been a bit eye-opening. The heat doesn't affect it much, nor the humidity when it rains (it's under the soffit so doesn't get directly rained on).

HOWEVER, since the camera doesn't use something called vector processing for motion detection it seems to pick up the tiniest movements of the camera. When it is moderately windy out, forget it, I get a notification every 5 minutes that there was movement and it becomes useless. Movement of shadows, tiny perturbations of the camera, it all counts.

IF you are going to use this where it will encounter vibrations, I'd recommend reconsidering and maybe going with a higher-end camera that does vector processing for movement so you aren't getting dozens of false alarms.

There are some features that need improving, but for the value you can't go wrong. We got two and plan to get more.

+ value! it's so cheap given the features

drewwats: I bought three of these cameras and have had them up for a few days now - just added the micro SD cards  Samsung 32GB 95MB/s (U1) MicroSD EVO Select Memory Card with Adapter (MB-ME32GA/AM)  and longer micro USB cables  Micro USB Charger Cable,YCCTEAM 10ft Long micro usb charging cable and Power Date Cables for Samsung,Tablet, LG, Motorola,blackberry, Android Smartphones (10 ft Black)  last night to get them wall-mounted.

So far, I have been nothing but impressed. I haven't had any of the connectivity issues that were reported earlier and video quality has been more than sufficient in all lighting conditions. The app is solid, intuitive, and overall developed very well. I hope that development continues at a rapid pace. There are quite a few features they could implement easily to make the user experience even better.

I have sent an email to Wyze support to clarify a few questions I have seen raised, and a few of my own. I will try to post the reply when I receive one. I plan to buy 3 or 4 more when they are back in stock.
