criss kleinschmidt: I have purchased 3 of these cameras and could not be happier with them. The most recent one will be replacing a name brand doorbell camera that can't hold a candle to the Zeeports. You can power these buy keeping it plugged in with the USB charging cord that comes with it or you can charge it and use it anywhere you want wire free. I use one outside that goes through the weather and has held up like a champ. I put an SD card in it over a year ago and it's still not full even though it records 24 hours a day off and on in a high traffic area. It has great wide angle vision and records in the darkest of nights like it's daylight. It records wildlife without disturbing or alerting them at all. Comes with a great little stand that can be adjusted for many angles that you can use freestanding or easily mounted with the included hardware (I'm a great grandma and I had no issues doing it myself) If you mount it and need to take it down to recharge (mine lasts about 4-5 days but it's set to record EVERYTHING) it's just a simple turn of the knob and it dismounts. I LOVE that I can drop in on real time feed and watch as long as I want choosing to record or not record as much as I want. My...

MurphysLaw: I bought two of these cameras to supplement an existing system. They are very easy to install - literally 3 screws to attach the mounting bracket then screw the camera onto the bracket. The bracket can be adjusted up/down and left/right. Since there are no wires, you can install it just about anywhere though, it's best to keep it out of direct sun. It is weatherproof but again, try installing it where there is some protection, like under the eaves, etc.
Setting up the camera wasn't difficult though I had to enter my wireless info several times for both cameras even though there is a 93+% signal strength. After that, the rest of the setup was a breeze
There are no subscription fees or charges nor is there cloud storage. Everything is stored on an SD card installed inside the camera and it rewrites over the oldest recordings automatically. I purchased SanDisk cards but you should be able to use any class 10 card though it is best to get one that can handle extreme temperatures if the camera is going outside. The card is formatted in the camera so no PC is needed.
The app is easy to navigate but it is slow, especially when watching live or reviewing recorded...

Sabayon Linux User: Inexpensive camera with good picture quality. Daytime colors are good too. Motion detection is maybe too sensitive, as you get some nuisance alarms. Most people rate it well. The monthly cloud storage plan is $3.99 a month. Like all similar cameras, videos get routed through a Chinese network. Here are my complaints. Weather-proof? The camera has vent holes in the back that at best, make it drip proof, or weather resistant. Do not mount it upside down anywhere there is water expected. Camera also says to not charge the battery below zero degrees Celsius, which is 32 degrees (freezing) to Americans. Gets much colder than that where I live. The mounting is light duty and barely adequate. Biggest disappointment is the power connecter. It is a micro-USB, too close to the mounting. Micro-USB has always been a bad idea. A lot of $500 smart phones were trashed because the micro-USB connector broke. Micro-USB should not be used outdoors. On my camera the Micro-USB power connector was mis-aligned in assembly so it only works with certain cables and then only works part of the time. If the wind blows or it vibrates it disconnects, and the batteries run down. The instruction manual is really...
