Matthew Gagnon: The knife was pretty decent (good weight, and great price point). The hatchet however is not useful at all. Definitely can’t cut a tree or even kindling for that matter, however it’s shape and weight would make a decent throwing axe. So if your looking for ultity the knife is good but the hatchet is more of a toy

Mr. Maddocks: Loved these two items! Knife and Axe is well balanced and the handle feels great... Both came very sharp and easy to use and sheath are sturdy as well... I used the knife for fishing... The axe I used for cutting up kindling and skinning branches to make marshmallow sticks... The one thing I would like to point out the axe is flat on the backside...

AXFamAXFam: Make no mistake, these aren't professional quality tools.... but even so, they're a decent set for the pricetag.

GOOD: The most impressive feature is the pricetag of $39.99 for the axe and knife set. They come with good carrying cases/sheaths and are relatively lightweight for the category. Sizing is good and the knife is balanced well (including handle). Both pieces have a full tang, and the blade edge is pretty sharp (there's lots of steel there for your own honing).

BAD: The handles are not great - hard, polished plastic with no grip. Be prepared for blisters and/or slippery grip if your hands are sweaty or wet. What's more, the screws (T5 torx) aren't at all easy to remove. They must be made of weaker metal because I stripped 3 of them trying to remove the handles to inspect the tang (and I'm using SnapOn T5 security Torx drivers). See photos. So I can't swap out the handles without drilling out the screws... Lastly, as mentioned, only the knife sheath has a belt loop (not the axe).

Wrap the handles in some grippy tape and this set will serve you just fine for camping or hunting.

AwillsAwills: Keeping in mind the price, 4.5 stars. This is a nice set. It is very, very sharp. The knife has great weight to it. Excellent for carving and all cutting needs camping and outdoor related. The Hatchet has a very nice lightweight design. It is extremely sharp and a little scary. It's good for cutting small kindling but due to its light weight it isn't the best for larger prices of wood or hardwood. It would be better suited to a throwing axe but definitely be careful using it. I would give the axe a 4/5 and the knife a 5/5. The knife itself was a fair price so the axe was kind of like a bonus. I'm not in to knives or hatchets but this was for my husband.

Chris : I must admit that the aesthetics were what drew me to this set, they sure are gorgeous!
Better yet, functional. I’ve come to expect nothing but the best for the price point by this company and haven’t been let down yet. The knife is very very sharp and I can’t say too much about the axe because I didn’t get much of a chance to use it as I am not a winter camper. I liked the weight of it, heavier axes tire my wrists out.

All in all, I would highly recommend this set.

DOC: Got my WORKPRO combination hand hatchet and long knife and for the money I feel they are well worth it. The knife is heavyweight, solid feeling and very sharp and balances well in my hand. The sheath has a belt loop for easy carrying. The hatchet also is solid with a very sharp edge; however, the sheath does not have a belt loop which is the reason why I gave it four stars instead of five, but overall this is a very impressive combo for what I paid for it.

oi101oi101: the quality of this knife and hatchet are punching above their class. my first impressions of this combo was that they sent me the wrong item for what i paid for.

the Ax (hatchet) is full tang the build quality looks great, the edge is danger sharp the tool it's self is straight with no bending left or right. the blade shape looks like it has a great working surface it being light weight with a broad blade front will mean you have to give some wood or a bear a few extra chops compared to a normal hatchet but the weight savings alone make this very acceptable.The handle fits in the hand like a dream and is very comfortable. the sheaf it comes with is very well made, it uses velcro to hold the ax (hatchet).

The knife is just as amazing, again a nice danger sharp blade out of the box, it is a full tang blade with wood handles, it fits in the hand great and i could see using it for hours without cramping up. The blade has a typical survival style profile with a nice little point. with no gimmicks or goofy gadgets hiding in it's innards. it is a honest to goodness knife looking for honest to goodness knife work.
