Danny B.: Receiving the WWV broadcast , in my location, is problematic with every similar receiver I have used previously.Calibrating the barometric pressure was easy, once you calculate your unique correction factor.Being used to pilot instrumentation/ calibration helped.The booklet needs to explain more in depth into setting the htp/mmHg factors.Great visibility( brightness adjustments.

GJ: These weather stations seem to all be based on the same chip so what makes each different is how much space each give to various data. I don't need info on the moon phase or pics of clouds that have nothing to do with the weather outside. This model at least minimizes those screens.

But the manual that comes with this model seems to have been translated from Klingon by a non-English speaker. When you want info on how to adjust something - like Daylight Savings - the manual will be zero help. You're really on your own.

The mode switch which is supposed to help you adjust day, time and other parts of the display is basically non-responsive. I found it easiest to just unplug the station to force it to enter setup mode.

Once this station is set up it works OK. However the setup process or changing something like Daylight Savings is so frustrating it will tempt you to take it out and run it over with your car.

lazy Kat: I don't normally write reviews, but just in case this might help someone else. it took me several days to finally get this unit setup correctly, now that it is, I love it. like many others have stated, my problem was that I couldn't get the outdoor sensor unit to work.

I ended up taking the unit into a spare room in the house that had zero electronics in it. I took out the batteries and unplugged the unit and started from scratch. I put the batteries back in the base unit and the outdoor sensor, I programed the unit, made sure that the sensor and the unit were on the same channel setting (1), nothing happened, then I pushed the TM gray button on the back of the outdoor sensor and the outdoor temp info came up (holy heck, I almost did an end zone dance). I moved the unit back into my living room and hung the outdoor sensor in the outside of my living room window. I came back 15 minutes later and the info was still there "and correct". I don't normally have trouble setting up electronic items, but this unit was very challenging.
